We're looking for a talented Senior Safety Specialist to join our team. You'll be passionate about partnering with the Middle mile team to ensure WHS risks are managed. We will expect you to continue to drive our Amazon WHS culture with the site leaders, raise high standards with contractors, and be instrumental in embedding Amazon WHS policies and processes and ensure compliance to all applicable local legislative obligations. By leveraging lean principles, you will lead continuous improvement to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for our Associates.
A successful Senior Safety specialist will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
This senior safety specialist must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You will instruct and train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards at their site. You will work to identify best practices and incorporate these standard methodologies into our standards to continuously improve the occupational health and safety landscape.
You will possess excellent safety program knowledge and be able demonstrate this expertise when working with Operations.
You will comfortable in working within a global company, and able to leverage from different parts of the world to support you in be successful in your role.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering WHS on CRM to provide updates on CRM advancement
- Partner with Ops Leaders to improve day-to-day safety.
- Manage 3PL at a country level with the support of the dedicated person in Projects team.
- Providing advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable Amazon WHS Policies and Global Standards. Develop country level WHS procedures and processes to meet Amazon Global Standards
- Completion of risk assessments related to WHS hazards for contractors operations
- Measure sites' performance against published requirements in safety policies. For all deficiencies, identify a plan for the site to implement and fix all identified deficiencies.
- Analyze safety metrics and review incident weekly and monthly incident trends to discover trends to rationalize the allocation of appropriate resources to areas where the WHS risk is highest.
- Perform frequent site WHS audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Implement solutions.
- Audit record-keeping practices and Global Safety Database (Austin) entries to be aligned with global safety standards and local regulations.
- Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their WHS responsibilities under each policy.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Distribution Centre or Manufacturing EHS with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees
- Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment

We are seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to join our Land Systems Division in Melbourne, supporting the Armoured Fighting Vehicle Branch. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in systems safety engineering to some of the most advanced and strategically important platforms in the Australian Army.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a key role in the safety management of complex land systems, including platforms such as Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicles, Abrams M1A2 Main Battle Tanks, and other protected mobility and manoeuvre systems.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
+ Development and maintenance of Safety Case Reports, Hazard Logs, and Safety Assessments in accordance with Defence standards.
+ Conducting hazard identification, hazard analysis (PHA, FHA, SHA, SSHA, O&SHA), and risk assessments to ensure compliance with MIL-STD-882, DEF(AUST) 5679, and applicable Defence safety frameworks.
+ Supporting system certification, verification, validation, and assurance activities for land combat and armoured vehicle programs.
+ Providing safety input into design reviews, engineering change proposals, and configuration management processes.
+ Preparing Safety Program Plans and Engineering Safety Reports to support decision-making and certification.
+ Engaging with Defence stakeholders, OEMs, subcontractors, and other MSPs to ensure safety objectives are integrated across the platform lifecycle.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or related).
+ Significant experience in systems safety engineering within Defence, aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industries.

**Job Description**
Responsible for managing pharmacovigilance (PV) activities in line with Local Operating Companies (LOC) requirements for the DACH region. Supports the development and implementation of processes, systems, and tools for local PV activities, oversees vendor-managed PV tasks. Collaborates with global PV teams, the EU QPPV office, and local stakeholders.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES:**
+ Management of pharmacovigilance (PV) activities according to Local Operating Companies (LOC) requirements for DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland incl. Liechtenstein)
+ Support the development and implementation of necessary processes, systems and tools for the handling of local PV activities
+ Performs oversight tasks of PV activities outsourced to qualified vendors
+ Monitors and oversees local Risk Management Plans (RMPs), risk minimization activities, Market Research (MR) and/or Patient Support Programs (PSPs) relevant for the territory
+ Reviews protocols for local studies and defines PV related processes for local study projects
+ Works with global PV colleagues and the EU QPPV office as well as with local internal stakeholders
+ Takes over responsibilities and tasks of:
+ deputy Graduated Plan Officer (Stellvertretender Stufenplanbeauftragter) acc. to § 63a AMG and §19 AMWHV for Takeda Germany
+ deputy National Appointed Person for Pharmacovigilance acc. to Art. 12 AMBV for Takeda Switzerland
**EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:**
+ Health professional or life sciences degree (Bachelor's required; advanced degree preferred)
+ Minimum of 5 years' advanced experience in pharmacovigilance or related environments
+ Meets all applicable local QPPV/PV contact person requirements including education, local language capabilities, training, trustworthiness, and experience
+ Advanced experience of working cross-functionally, preferably in R&D companies.
+ Understanding of medical/scientific terminology
+ Excellent knowledge of PV regulations for the post-marketing global environment and applicable legislation
+ Excellent written/oral communication skills in German and English and experience working within virtual teams
+ Leadership skills

Key job responsibilities

- Assist the site WHS Manager and the site WHS teams in delivering safety processes and operations

- Support day to day operational WHS requirements on site including participation in Daily deep dive meetings, weekly operational WHS meetings, site inspections and audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, procedural implementation, compliance assessments
- Analyze accident data and develop standards to ensure prevention of accidents
- Help to develop safety procedures and implement training programs to meet the needs of Managers and Associates in regards to critical safety issues
- Reporting out on WHS requirements and trends, this can include deliver of WHS related induction or trainings
A day in the life
Your project will require you to work as part of the WHS team alongside the site operations team on a risk reduction project/Ergonomic and MSD Injury reduction project/ WHS Data and benchmarking project/ WHS Health and Wellness project (choice of projects in consultation with your Hiring Manager)
Basic Qualifications
