At Residential Attitudes, we’re a little bit different to the rest and that’s why we may, or may not be for you.

Single storey homes, double storey homes, double brick, framed, reverse brick veneer, sloping sites, flat sites, sandy sites, clay sites – we build homes that respond to what the lot requires and work tirelessly with our clients to deliver extraordinary outcomes.

You see, we’re not about building as many homes as possible – that’s the volume sausage factory stuff. We’re more about hitting a certain volume each month and we’re done and moving to the next month. The reason? Experience has taught us with what we do, how we do it well, and how we keep our promises this is the best way to operate. What it has meant is very happy customers, a happy team and a successful sales team who are earning great money.

For some of our clients, they want a home that is incredibly unique, packs a lot of punch and stands out on the street – they like to put the ‘brave pants’ on so to speak. For other clients, they’re a little more conservative but what draws them to us (aside from our home designs) is the way we build, the quality we hold ourselves to and most importantly, the way we treat people.

We believe in a level playing field so you’d be rotating through display homes, email, telephone, digital and social enquiries. The result is a cohesive team where everyone has a chance to do well.

So what would one need to be successful in our team?

  • Attitude is everything and not just because it’s in our name – you love what you do, and know that for it all to work well it’s about the people you work with in having respect from all sides

  • Excellent communication skills with excellent personal presentation – this is possibly the single biggest investment will make which requires us to ensure our clients know everything they need to know, and all the special components that will go into their dream home will be captured thanks to yourself.

  • Self-motivation, drive and enthusiasm. Selling can be tough yeh? But we also know it’s mind over matter, so you’ll know exactly what’s required when you wake up each morning to be successful in this sort of role.

  • Previous experience is absolutely necessary as the nature of what we do doesn’t make this place a great training ground. You’ll be someone currently in this part of the market looking for a change or simply love what we do and how we do it, OR you are someone who’s cut their teeth in the industry but now looking to take the next step in selling homes that you yourself would absolutely love to be building for yourself as let’s be honest, the designs we have are pretty cool.

Your Main Duties

We are looking for someone who, put simply, has the ability to sell. The successful person will need to demonstrate capability in:

  • Site visits upon request from external and internal stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain a current, in-depth product and work knowledge on our full product range

  • Creatively source new ideas, new products and innovative ways to capture new business and promote profitable growth

  • Providing sales quotes and estimates

  • Maintaining an up-to-date diary (CRM based), which includes sale calls, meetings and follow up dates

  • Maintaining up to date knowledge on market outlook, category pricing and sale pricing

  • Liaising and following up with customers and contractors to ensure excellent service

  • Managing customer accounts proactively to ensure demand can be anticipated and solutions can be provided.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers


What You Can Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of Sales experience in the Building and Construction industry, further training will be provided

  • A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and KPIs

  • A strategic mindset

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Sales Responsibilities:
+ Quote rates and availability in line with function space selling guidelines.
+ Lead memorable and tailor-made Insider Tours and Client Entertainment.
+ Respond and acknowledge all incoming enquiries and send a formal proposal within 24 hours.
+ Conduct post-event follow-up calls to prospect for repeat bookings.
+ Prepare and issue event contracts on a timely basis and ensure that contracts and any required deposits are returned by the agreed option dates.
+ Represent the brand in all catering and event sales activities with a strong focus on the local catering market.
+ Promote Marriott Bonvoy and affiliated offers during the proposal process.
Event Planning Responsibilities:
+ Manage the planning of events including full event details, menu selection, and creation of the internal banquet event order and billing charges.
+ Communicate between client and reservations department, assisting with confirming group accommodation requirements.
+ Review all daily beverage & food and conference charges posted to relevant accounts during each event.
+ Monitor group billing accounts for accuracy and coordinate with the Credit Manager for delayed payments.
+ Work closely with Assistant B&F Manager, Assistant Banquet Operations Manager and AV Company to ensure all aspects of the event are executed as per the Banquet Event Orders.
+ Attend weekly BEO Meetings and Group Movement Meetings for key internal stakeholders.
+ Conduct Pre and Post Conference Meetings with event clients as required.
