Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. We aim to give every student in our care the very best education in order to prepare them for life beyond school. We are a learning community, which encourages staff, students, past students and parents to involve themselves fully in all aspects of school life and to identify themselves with its values: Learning, Respect, Integrity, Courage and Optimism. We are proud of the warm spirit and sense of community that characterises our school family.
Our School campus is located in the leafy inner east suburb of Canterbury, on land originally inhabited by the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, and blends period architecture with exciting contemporary design and state-of-the-art facilities.
ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a team-orientated, enthusiastic, life-long learner, to join our Middle and Senior Schools, as a Learning Assistant. This is an ongoing, full-time position due to commence Term 1, 2026. Consideration may be given to part-time arrangements for suitable candidates.
You will work under the guidance of classroom and special education teachers, supporting targeted boys, some with specific learning needs. - Accompany students on camps, excursions and other out of school activities when required.
- Attend professional development sessions specifically targeting strategies and accommodations to meet the needs of students and at the request of the Head of Learning Enhancement.
This is a rewarding role where you have the opportunity to make a significant impact.
If you are passionate about providing tailored support and possess the skills and vision to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.
ABOUT YOUYou are an outstanding learning assistant who can lead by example, model exceptional practice, and support the Head of Learning Enhancement. You are able to demonstrate an understanding of the educational, social, and emotional needs of children with learning disabilities and other specific learning needs. A genuine passion for meeting the educational needs of students, along with a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development is also required.
