The Role
You will lead the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection (lives, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property) in Melbourne. You will be a key member of the organization, working with cross-functional teams throughout the organization, both domestically and internationally. - Identify, promote and implement security best practices in a designated FC.
- Serve as department's liaison and security subject matter expert for facility management keeping them abreast of key issues, strategies and the department's performance.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency.
- Effectively partner with internal customers in evaluating current and future security services, processes and initiatives.
- Coordinate data collection, through database polling or data entry, from multiple FCs; and conduct analysis generating strategic and tactical interpretations.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree or above, or Bachelor's degree
- Experience in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations or project management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English

Description
The Loss Prevention Expert (LPE) is a key leadership position within the Amazon Loss Prevention (LP) Team. If you are curious and want to challenge your conventional view of an LP role in a very different space, this role within Amazon will provide that challenge! The LPE leads the effort to efficiently, and effectively, provide security services and asset protection (lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, & intellectual property) in a designated area of responsibility. This role allows you to work through root cause analysis, you have the ability to effect change in your area of responsibility and the network. It gives you the ability to challenge the status quo and say, "how can we do it better." Key job responsibilities
* Engage, coach, train, and influence business partners to be an extension of Loss Prevention by equipping them with knowledge to identify leading indicators of Loss Prevention risk and educate them on the appropriate escalation path. * You are the subject matter expert for all internal and external partners. AWS Infrastructure Operations - Physical Security are looking for exceptional Project Security Officer's to assist with the management and delivery of project security requirements on an upcoming project.
These are site-based roles, responsible for assisting our project team to manage physical security, in line with client security requirements and the project security plan.

- Serve as the AWS primary security liaison maintaining daily communication with Regional Security Manager, Data Centre Security Manager, client security representatives, certifying authorities and other relevant personnel.
- Provide comprehensive security oversight throughout the construction phase, ensuring delivery of fit-for-purpose and certifiable facilities through attendance at security assurance Hold and Witness Point inspections.

**Role Title:** DISP Security Officer / Manager
**Role Description:**
As a Security Officer within Amentum you may design and implement preventive security standards, procedures and programs. Supports and conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal and customer requirements, as well as company policies. You will also coordinate and administer security clearances and other security policies in accordance with appropriate agencies. Maintains relationships with law enforcement and other government agencies at appropriate levels. May be designated as point of contact to direct a crisis management team or teams during an emergency.
As Amentum Australia is a DISP company you will be specifically responsible for:
+ the development and application of security policies and plans for Amentum Australia;
+ ensuring sensitive and classified materials entrusted to the Amentum Australia are protected in line with DSPF requirements at all times;
+ ensuring and facilitating Defence mandated security education and training courses for Amentum Australia personnel engaged in Defence work;
+ implementing arrangements and training for insider threat identification, reporting and management;
+ reporting security and fraud incidents, and contact reports, in accordance with Control 77.1 - Security Incidents and Investigations;
+ maintaining a Designated Security Assessed Position list;
+ sponsoring and managing all Personnel Security Clearances issued under the authority of Amentum Australia's DISP membership in accordance with the DSPF Control 40.1 - Personnel Security Clearances;

**Role Title:** DISP Security Officer / Manager
**Role Description:**
As a Security Officer within Amentum you may design and implement preventive security standards, procedures and programs. Supports and conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal and customer requirements, as well as company policies. You will also coordinate and administer security clearances and other security policies in accordance with appropriate agencies. Maintains relationships with law enforcement and other government agencies at appropriate levels. May be designated as point of contact to direct a crisis management team or teams during an emergency.
As Amentum Australia is a DISP company you will be specifically responsible for:
+ the development and application of security policies and plans for Amentum Australia;
+ ensuring sensitive and classified materials entrusted to the Amentum Australia are protected in line with DSPF requirements at all times;
+ ensuring and facilitating Defence mandated security education and training courses for Amentum Australia personnel engaged in Defence work;
+ implementing arrangements and training for insider threat identification, reporting and management;
+ reporting security and fraud incidents, and contact reports, in accordance with Control 77.1 - Security Incidents and Investigations;
+ maintaining a Designated Security Assessed Position list;
+ sponsoring and managing all Personnel Security Clearances issued under the authority of Amentum Australia's DISP membership in accordance with the DSPF Control 40.1 - Personnel Security Clearances;
+ As Security impacts International Trade Controls you will also assist in the management of all Amentum Australia's export controls licenses, permit and approvals, including SAMS.
**Essential Requirements:**
+ Australian Citizen
+ Australian Security Clearance NV1 (active or reinstatable)
+ Experience as a Government / Defence / Defence Industry Security Officer (Governance, Physical and Personnel)
+ Desirable Requirements:
+ Knowledge of the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework
+ Experience with International Trade Controls (Australian, US and/or UK)
