• Assisting in the creation and implementation of policies related to budgeting and accounting frameworks.
• Preparing financial statements for review by boards of directors, executive management, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Performing financial reviews and audits, drafting comprehensive reports, and advising on key financial decisions, including business acquisitions, mergers, financing options, fraud investigations, insolvency matters, and tax planning.
• Reviewing operational expenses alongside revenue and expenditures to analyse organisational financial performance.
• Ensuring the accuracy and statutory compliance of data presented in financial statements
• Advising on financial strategies, tax implications, and business structuring to support operational goals.
• Completing tax returns for both individuals and corporate entities.
• Working with banks and financial intermediaries to establish and manage funding and investment arrangements.
• Setting up and maintaining accounting systems, including recommendations for computer-based accounting solutions.
• Overseeing internal control measures to safeguard financial integrity.
• Conducting assessments of cash flow and evaluating financial risks associated with capital investments when required.

Applicants are required to hold at least a Bachelor in Accounting (Masters in Accounting preferred). Skills:

• At least one year experience in a similar role is ideal
• High level attention to detail, friendly and professional phone manner, and strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Demonstrated skills and experience in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel), including intermediate excel skills (as a minimum)
• Strong communication skills to maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, and to prioritise conflicting tasks through effective time management.

• Providing relief for finance team members during periods of leave
