**About the role**
Working out of our Brisbane office, this fantastic opportunity has opened for a **Project Engineer** to join and form an integral part of our Project Management team.
As a Project Engineer, you will be reporting directly to a Project Manager and be responsible for the following day to day activities;
+ Manage the delivery of the scope, project tasks, deliverables, budget, and schedule across multiple projects.
+ Responsible for controlling the project`s expenditures, including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
+ Managing key project registers: Change, Risk, TQ, SID/HAZID/HAZOP etc.
+ Demonstrate a strong willingness to grow and step into the PM role.
+ Previous experience working on 'Sus Cap' projects is beneficial.
**Successful candidates will need to possess:**
+ 3 yrs experience in Engineering Design and/or Construction roles (preferably Mechanical)
+ Experience in minerals processing, pumping and piping and materials handling systems
+ Experience in multiple commodities such as iron ore, copper/gold and/or battery minerals is desirable.
+ Eligibility for RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) application is desirable but not essential.

# Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead a team and interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate the engineering technical aspects for complex projects. You will participate in project planning, proposal review, and will own the engineering elements of capital estimates. Your technical guidance and recommendations will ensure engineering aspects meet project requirements and remain within scope and budget.

# Major Responsibilities:
+ Management of the scope, schedule, budget, priorities and the sequence of work for the project or assigned portion of a project including supervision of engineers of all disciplines in the Global Business Unit (GBU).
+ Inputs to and owns the engineering elements of a project capital estimate proposals and execution quantities and budgets.
+ Ensures project goals and objectives for the project or assigned portion of the project are integrated with the rest of the project.
+ Develops design and procurement schedules for approval.
+ Ensures scope, design basis and objectives are defined, best practices/lessons learned reviewed, detailed work plans, schedules, budgets and procedures are established and executed, including:
+ Execution Plan
+ Contract Management Plan
+ Change Management Plan
+ Plan for addressing critical cross-functional work processes and systems, etc.
+ Reviews and approves design documents, change orders, material requisitions and specifications for construction or procurement use.
+ Supervises the preparation of, reviews and endorses bid analyses and recommendations for procurement of equipment material and services within Engineering's scope of responsibility.
+ When assigned directs engineering activities in preparation of project proposals, including estimates for engineering staffing, quantities, scope reviews, schedules and coordination with Business Development and other functional groups.

# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
# Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Previous experience performing the above duties in the mining & metals industry
+ Experience in delivering complex packages and leading multi-discipline teams on a major EPCM project
+ Exemplary quality and safety record
+ Ability to travel to supplier/vendor office (China / Southeast Asia) for a period of min 6 months
+ Technically bilingual and conversant in English-Chinese would be advantageous
+ Previous experience using advance work packaging which ties in with modularisation, procurement, fabrication, transportation and installation.

The purpose of this role is to lead/implement complex and standard engineering solutions, typically undertaking one aspect of a large project (i.e. Install Base on Process Migration, HMI, Control or Safety applications, IT, Hardware design), to successful completion within budgeted time and cost constraints achieving required quality.
+ Responsible for technical delivery of On/Off Process Migration and Control Systems projects
+ Ensure the required pre-requisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
+ Development of Functional Design Specification, Detailed Design Specifications, clarifications of project scope, review of design inputs and test procedures as required.
+ Implementation of On/Off Process Migration, control systems projects, typically using Honeywell Experion and TPS controllers/RTUs/PLCs and supervisory systems, and/or third-party PLC controllers/PLC
+ Hardware and software Engineering for the Process Control and Process Network systems
+ Effectively communicates with customers to fully define and agree project requirements.
+ Implement projects using Honeywell Tools and processes, provide input for constant improvement of tools and processes
+ Conduct customer acceptance testing and final commissioning of systems on site
+ Actively participate in HSE processes, meet HSE metrics and follow all HSE procedures
+ Liaise with internal project leads and external project representatives to ensure the design aligns with project requirements
+ Pro-actively identify potential quality and efficiency improvements within assigned work
+ Provide sales assistance for estimation, proposal preparation, demonstration of capability
+ Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline (e.g.: Instrument & Control, Electronic, Electrical, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering).
+ 5-10 years' experience in implementing Instrumentation & Control and safety solutions in one or more of the following verticals: Refinery, Oil & Gas, Mining, Power
+ Understanding of the functioning of the field instruments such as sensors, finals control elements
+ Understanding of the Electrical Engineering concepts, such as power supply distribution, rotating equipment, variable speed drives, UPS supplies
+ Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings (P&IDs, PFDS, Electrical Drawings)
+ Good Knowledge of DCS, SIS and/or Process Control Networks and security plus basic knowledge of Advanced Process Control and Business Solutions
+ Knowledge and experience of site installation and project commissioning
+ Knowledge of Honeywell TPS, Experion, Safety manager is highly advantageous.

**About the role**
We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Project Technical Lead (PTL) to join our Perth Electrical Team on a full-time basis. You will be a part of our Electrical Team working in a multi-disciplinary group across various building and infrastructure projects with a strong focus in Health, Defence, Mission Critical, Science Technology, Commercial and Social Infrastructure.
We are seeking candidates that can focus and excel in both business development and technical delivery. The business development aspect of the role will focus on input into proposals, developing and servicing a client base, and securing and generating potential opportunities. While the technical delivery aspect will focus in on the successful delivery of projects from initial concept through to construction completion.
The successful candidate will be able to apply their technical skills and demonstrate commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly designed, personally reviewed and delivered on time. You will be expected to service projects including those of relatively large size, of high complexity and with multiple clients.

# Project Overview:
The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village.
The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah Riyadh highway. A desert track connects Al Mouwayh to the Project site. Bechtel has been awarded the Ar Rjum gold project feasibility study update and related works by Ma'aden, Saudi Arabia's state-owned mining company. The scope will include updating the existing design capacity from 6 Mtpa to 8 Mtpa and preparing for execution, which is anticipated to kick off execution in 2025.
This role will be based in the Brisbane home office before mobilising to Helsinki, Finland on a 12 month short-term assignment.
# Job Summary:
In this role you will work with the project team to manage the entire set of planning and cost activities for a major package on the project. You will identify schedule / cost trends, analyse data to provide innovative solutions to challenges, ensure schedule updates are completed on time and are reviewed prior to incorporation into the project level 3 schedule, manage progress tracking and cost forecasting.
**Major Res** **ponsibilities:**
+ Maintain cost budgets and accurate cost & cashflow forecasts, utilising the change management system. Performs ongoing cost & cash flow analysis.
+ Monitor progress of contractors, verify monthly incurred costs, prepare monthly accruals and provide variance analysis.
