The Data Center Finance team is part of the Asia-Pacific Infrastructure team. We provide end-to-end financial support driving AWS to be the low-cost provider in Cloud computing and leader in customer experience. This includes supporting business owners in designing, building, operating and innovating our Cloud data centers. We support operations, business development, and engineering. You should be passionate about producing financial analysis enabling management to make breakthrough decisions, drive cash flow, and ultimately delight our customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the key business partner working directly AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations.
- Drive cost savings by identifying opportunities and benchmarking across vendors and locales.
- Work across teams on cost savings projects, automation and improvement initiatives with finance, construction, IT and design.
- Conduct regular face to face and virtual meetings in the Asia-Pacific region to support business partners and drive further efficiencies.
- Manage the financial planning and analysis effort and forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities.
- Report on the financial performance and lead in the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reviews.
- Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
- Monitoring compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes and controls to support the fast-growing, global AWS business.
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or MBA and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with Category Leaders, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize commercial decisions across pricing, promotion, and inventory management
- P&L controllership for assigned categories, including approvals and management of vendor rebates, promotions management and inventory purchases
- Preparation of monthly business reviews and quarterly planning cycles, providing clear narratives that highlight key drivers and recommended actions for deviations to plan
- Conduct variance analysis for sales and profit to understand performance drivers

- Conduct deep-dive analyses into product selection and sourcing performance, identifying opportunities to improve long-term Free Cash Flow and delivering actionable insights to leadership
- Provide ad-hoc analytical support to commercial teams, balancing multiple stakeholder requests while maintaining focus on key business priorities
- Support continuous improvement projects to streamline and automate reporting and analysis
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
