Our hotels never sleep. So, we're looking for a Night Auditor to be the friendly face and steady hand during the overnight shift-keeping operations on track, balancing the books, and ensuring every guest ends their day (and starts the next!) with a five-star experience.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
+ Processing payments, including room charges, debit and credit, cash and cheques in accordance with established procedures
+ Checking guests in, out, and managing any wake-up call requests
+ Answering phones and dealing with overnight guest queries
+ Running night audit property management systems or manual equivalents
+ Performing other duties such as concierge services and special guest requests
+ Sharing your sharp eye for detail to make sure everything's in order for the next day

+ Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing
+ Computer literacy, including familiarity with PMS software
+ Strong verbal communication and good listening skills, for effective and pleasant interactions with guests and housekeeping staff

**The Position**
+ Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, running night audit backup, and roll the date.
+ Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
+ Process adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
+ Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency.
+ Sell a room/accommodation to guests without reservations based on availability.
+ Operate telephone switchboard station, process requests for wake-up calls, and advise guest of any messages.
+ Complete the Room Rate Variance Report.
+ Process all guest check-ins and assign room.
+ Activate or reissue room keys using electronic key machine.
+ Count bank at end of shift and secure bank.
+ Balance and drop receipts according to Accounting specifications.

About the Role
As Night Auditor at Rydges, you’ll be the key point of contact for guests during the overnight shift, ensuring their needs are met with warmth and efficiency. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s high service standards, fulfilling guest room requirements, and handling end-of-day financial processes with accuracy. This role requires a balance of guest service and administrative precision, all while upholding the hotel’s policies and procedures to deliver a seamless overnight experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver warm, professional service while efficiently checking guests in and out.
• Accurately process guest transactions and complete nightly audit procedures.
• Ensure all revenue is correctly posted and discrepancies are identified and resolved.
• Maintain clear communication with the Night Manager and other departments.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints with urgency, care, and professionalism.
• Confidently use hotel systems to manage bookings, payments, and reporting.
• Uphold hotel policies, WH&S standards, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth overnight operations.
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in front office or night audit roles within a hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process guest transactions and complete nightly audit reports.
• Confident using hotel systems for reservations, payments, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a guest-first approach.
• Knowledge of hotel policies, WH&S standards, and cashiering procedures.
• Ability to work independently overnight while supporting other departments as needed.
