**What will I be doing?**
As Guest Service Agent, you will serve on the Front Office Team, to provide services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required. + Use the correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy
+ Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
+ Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systems
+ Follow company brand standards
+ Assist other departments, as necessary

**About the role**
Our Guest Service Agents are the face of the hotel. They greet and welcome everyone as well as carrying out the checking in and out of hotel guests, manage the switchboard and assist guests with any queries or requests they may have. They process all payment methods in accordance with accounting procedures and policies and follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures. **Critical responsibilities:**
+ Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key
+ Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit
+ Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
+ Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in
+ Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed
+ Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest
+ Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy.
+ Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system
+ Cash guests' personal checks and traveler's checks.
+ Count bank at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
**Successful Candidates will have:**
+ Completing or currently studying in Hospitality related course preferred
+ Has previous experience in Front Office Operations
+ Strong background in Front Office or customer service is preferred
+ Is available for shift work on a rotated roster
+ Outstanding written & verbal communication skills.
+ A team player, with flair for guest experience.
+ Computer Literate in Microsoft office with previous Experience in Opera PMS will be highly regarded.

To get our guests' memorable experiences off to an unforgettable start, we're looking for a Guest Service Agent - Receptionist who can make transactions feel seamless, offer exceptional local insights, and anticipate every request to make our guests feel right at home.
**A little taste of your day-to-day:**
- Kicking off truly memorable guest experiences with the warmest of welcomes
- Acknowledging and prioritizing IHG Rewards Club members InterContinental Ambassadors, and returning guests in person or over the phone
- Handling guest bookings, suggesting upgrades, and promoting amenities.
- Taking, managing, and receiving cash and credit payments efficiently for guest bookings
- Making the check-in and check-out process feel swift and seamless
- Staying one step of our guests' needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored recommendations
- Being our guests' trusted contact - helping with everything from bill issues to restaurant recommendations
- Maintaining a professional appearance and embodying brand values.
**What We need from you:**
- Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to
- Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guests leaves with great memories
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts between 7am and 11pm - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job
- Literate and Tech-Savvy - you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computers.
- Fluency in English - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
