About the Role
Reporting to the RX Chief Privacy Officer, the APAC Data Protection Manager (DPM) ensures RX's compliance with data protection laws across China, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The role provides expert, solution-oriented advice on privacy compliance, supporting the Global Privacy Office and aligning with local legislation (e.g., PIPL, Privacy Act, PDPL, PDPD). The DPM leads privacy assessments, manages compliance tracking, and communicates risks and maturity to senior stakeholders. They are responsible for embedding global privacy standards locally, maintaining data inventories, supporting audits, and delivering tailored privacy training.
Working within a global team, the DPM collaborates closely with privacy champions and stakeholders across business units, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and C-suite executives. The role demands strong leadership skills, the ability to drive compliance initiatives, and excellent communication skills. The DPM plays a key role in fostering a privacy-first culture, building cross-functional relationships, and ensuring alignment between business operations and global privacy strategies.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead and complete Privacy Impact Assessments for business process changes, ensuring timely delivery and effective risk mitigation.
+ Monitor, report, and support remediation of privacy risks and compliance issues across business units.
+ Provide expert privacy advice and guidance to APAC business units, backed by research and aligned with legal and policy requirements.
+ Design and deliver privacy training and communications tailored to business needs, especially in marketing and sales.
+ Develop and lead the regional Hub Privacy Programme, aligning with global strategy and ensuring local compliance.
+ Identify and address gaps in privacy programmes, especially during audits, acquisitions, or divestments.
+ Act as liaison between business units and the Global Privacy Office, fielding queries and escalating issues where needed.
+ Maintain a network of Privacy Champions to foster a culture of privacy awareness and accountability.
+ Oversee and support responses to privacy rights requests, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution.
+ Create and improve privacy-related processes and documentation, including those related to third-party systems.
Requirements
+ Excellent business level proficiency in Mandarin and English.
+ Certified in privacy (e.g., CIPP/A, CIPM); a degree in law or data governance is preferred.
+ In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with global privacy laws (e.g., PIPL, Privacy Act, PDPL, PDPD) in commercial settings.
+ Proficient in OneTrust, including DSAR, Inventory, Assessment, and Cookie modules.
+ Strong grasp of online platforms, big data, and related systems and processes.
+ Proven ability to communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels.
+ Strong leadership skills with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
+ Skilled in managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight deadlines.
+ Experience driving targeted improvement initiatives and collaborating in global teams.

About the role

**Your Career**
As a domain consultant for network security transformation, you provide technical expertise and guidance in customers' network security and zero trust journey. You will be key in defining technical solutions that secure a customer's key business imperatives. You evangelize our industry leadership in on-prem, cloud, and security services that establish Palo Alto Networks as a customer's cybersecurity partner.
**Your Impact**
+ Collaborate with sales teams to recommend and develop customer solutions within your assigned specialization
+ Present to customers as our expert at all levels in the customer hierarchy, from practitioner to senior leadership
+ Lead and support customer demonstrations that showcase our unique value proposition.
+ Responsible for prospective customers and partners' Technical Validation projects based on best practices to ensure technical win in assigned opportunities
+ Architect solutions that will help our customers strengthen and simplify their security posture
+ Document high-level design and key use cases to ensure proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks solutions
+ Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape.
+ Responsible for discussing and highlighting product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation
+ As the main technical point of contact for Network Security, you will assist and collaborate to respond effectively to RFIs/RFPs
+ Position Palo Alto Networks or Partner delivered services as appropriate to ensure proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks solutions
+ Discuss, with credibility, competitive offers in the marketplace and position ours as the best alternative
+ Distinguished by additional specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth
**Your Experience**
+ 6+ years experience in pre-sales/sales engineering within Zero Trust, Networking, Network Security, SaaS Security or SSE/SASE
+ Experience with L2-L4 Networking (L2 Switching architectures including Spanning Tree, VLANs/trunking, IP routing including static routes, OSPF and BGP, route re-distribution, L4 Load-balancing)
+ Outstanding customer communication and problem-solving skills
+ Experience in working with customers, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude
+ Solid understanding of NGFW, Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, CASB, Proxy, DLP and BYOD Solutions
+ Advanced knowledge of On-Premise and Cloud-Delivered Network Security Technologies
+ This is a field sales position where travel requirements may be required to support in person customer meetings, please discuss with the recruiter on the specifics for this position.
