We're looking for an exceptional Senior Supply Chain Strategy Manager to drive strategic network optimization and design across our Australian fulfillment network. This is a high-impact leadership role that will shape how millions of customers receive their packages while driving transformation in operational costs and efficiency.
Role Impact:
You'll own and lead strategic initiatives that transform our fulfillment network, focusing on:
- Architecting and implementing network strategy to optimize delivery speed and cost
- Developing and executing multi-year rate optimization strategies across transport modes
- Leading strategic analysis and transformation programs into fulfillment patterns and cost drivers
- Designing and implementing next-generation middle-mile networks
- Owning the strategy and execution for new site launches, including network integration
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement multi-year network optimization strategies to balance speed, cost, and efficiency
- Develop and own comprehensive business cases for major network transformation initiatives
- Lead strategic cross-functional programs to reduce shipping distances while maximizing consolidation opportunities
- Establish and maintain strategic forecasting frameworks for network capacity planning
- Design and implement transport optimization strategies across the network
- Own new site launch strategies with data-driven network integration plans
- Drive strategic transformation in key metrics including unit economics, consolidation rates, and regional fulfillment
- Build and mentor teams focused on network optimization and regional efficiency
What You'll Need:
- Advanced analytics expertise with proven experience leading large-scale data analysis programs
- Excellence in conducting strategic investigations to identify root causes and transformation opportunities
- Strong executive stakeholder management abilities with experience leading cross-functional programs
- Strategic thinking with proven ability to develop and execute long-term network strategies
- Deep experience in supply chain network design, transportation, or related fields

Basic Qualifications

# Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

Senior Program Manager - Delivery Speed
As a Senior Program Manager within Supply Chain, you will own and develop the long-term Speed strategy and transformation roadmap for the Amazon AU network. You'll architect sustainable multi-year strategies to revolutionize delivery speeds and create new customer propositions. This role requires strategic vision to transform how we serve our customers through innovative delivery capabilities while building frameworks that ensure operational excellence.
You will develop comprehensive strategies spanning inventory placement, FC operations, and transport networks, creating robust long-term roadmaps across our first, middle, and last mile verticals. You'll own the strategic direction of our speed transformation, making data-driven decisions while managing executive stakeholder relationships.
Working closely with AU FC Operations, Transportation, Business, and Tech teams, you'll own the strategic Speed roadmap and capability development. You'll lead the development of long-term forecasting frameworks while establishing mechanisms to ensure delivery speed goals are met. This role demands advanced analytical capabilities, executive-level stakeholder management, and strategic thinking while maintaining a strong customer-centric focus.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and own multi-year speed strategy and transformation roadmap
- Create long-term forecasting frameworks and capability models
- Architect new speed acceleration services and delivery propositions
- Lead strategic planning sessions and executive updates on speed transformation
- Develop cross-functional strategies to transform operational cycle times
- Establish governance frameworks for speed performance management
- Partner with Global teams on strategic system improvements
- Build and mentor teams focused on speed transformation
- Create business cases for strategic speed investments
- Define speed metrics and measurement frameworks for future capabilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or related)
- 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, or related fields
- Proven experience in developing and executing multi-year strategies
- Strong executive stakeholder management experience
- Advanced analytical capabilities and data modeling experience
- Excellence in building and maintaining forecasting frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills and SQL proficiency
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and programs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- Experience in e-commerce or logistics transformation programs
- Track record of developing innovative solutions in fast-paced environments
- Experience in building and mentoring high-performing teams
- Deep understanding of supply chain operations and network design
- Experience in developing new service offerings and capabilities
- Strong understanding of Australian logistics landscape

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

It is a two-year program with 2 x 6-month rotations and 1 x 12-month rotation throughout Ventia's Group Supply Chain function to help you discover and learn.
