About the role:
St Vincent’s is a world leader in the diagnosis and management of diseases of the ear, nose and throat, and the related structures of the head and neck. The successful applicant will provide care for the nose, sinuses and related structures including anterior skull based surgery. Conditions to be managed include treatment of complex sinonasal disease, tumours and other anterior skull base conditions.
The successful applicant will provide two half day elective operating sessions per month primarily to public patients, noting that the number of allocated sessions available may vary over time depending upon resources available, strategic priorities and clinical demand. The successful applicant must work to ensure the numbers of elective waiting list patients do not exceed the National and State waiting time benchmarks or exceed the capacity of the contractually agreed theatre time availability to undertake the wait list cases, in accordance with NSW Health Policy.
Clinical duties include participation in the on-call roster and the provision of consultative and emergency surgery services to patients who present and / or admitted to from the Emergency Department. Postgraduate and undergraduate teaching is expected.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Senior Registrar within our General Surgery and Acute Surgical Unit.
This role offers exposure to complex general surgery cases alongside acute surgical presentations in a supportive teaching environment, presenting an outstanding opportunity to develop your surgical expertise within SA Health's respected training programs.
In this role you will:
- provide high-quality surgical care across general surgery and acute surgical units
- participate in emergency surgery rosters and after-hours care
