About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Nurse Manager or Clinical Nurse Consultant to join a compassionate team providing exceptional care services in Thomastown, VIC. You'll lead a team of dedicated RNs and support staff, ensuring smooth operations, clinical compliance, and continuous development. The role includes managing rosters, conducting reviews, mentoring team members, and overseeing care delivery to the highest standards.
This position requires both strategic oversight and on-the-ground presence - including approximately 6 hours of administrative work per RN duty shift. You'll also play a key role in HR functions, staff education via the organisation's learning platform, and medication management. This is a Level 3 leadership role (70 hours per fortnight) suited to a hands-on, approachable leader who thrives in a busy environment.
The role will initially require travel to Sydney, with all associated travel and accommodation expenses provided. This requirement will cease once the client relocates to Victoria; relocation date to be confirmed.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- 5+ years' experience in a senior management or Nurse Manager or CNS role
- Strong clinical knowledge and hands-on experience.
- Proven leadership and staff management capability.
- Experience conducting performance reviews and handling HR matters.
- Ability to administer medication and oversee clinical compliance.
- High-level organisational and communication skills.
- Clinical Nurse Consultant (desirable).
