About the Opportunity
KBR is very well positioned, amongst a breadth of other existing and upcoming projects, to support the Department of Defence to deliver on the Nuclear Submarine Infrastructure pipeline.
During this exciting growth period, we have an opportunity for Principal Civil Engineers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering a wide range of civil infrastructure projects and will be familiar, in particular, with civil engineering design for building civil works, defence, and civil infrastructure projects.
Working within the Civil Engineering discipline group, you will provide civil engineering services to the Defence, Water, Transport, and Buildings markets. delivering projects including civil infrastructure, roads, rail, buildings civil, water infrastructure, and land developments.
As the Principal Civil Engineer, you will have a variety of responsibilities such as leading and overseeing engineering design, preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, streamlining the production of deliverables, and preparing technical reports and proposals.
You will ensure that technical adherence and quality assurance standards are met by managing the design team and providing them with guidance and supervision on all civil engineering deliverables. You will liaise directly with the Project Manager, Design Manager, and Client to provide regular project updates and prepare technically sound and well-written proposals and reports.
As the ideal applicant you will have:
+ A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
+ CPEng preferred.
+ Extensive experience working within an engineering consulting environment.
+ Experience working in a broad range of infrastructure projects within a multi-disciplinary environment.
+ Previous experience in Civil Infrastructure for projects in one or more of the defence, building civil, and transport sectors is essential in the role.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Familiarity with relevant standards and design guidelines to the civil engineering discipline.
+ The ability to obtain chartership within a reasonable agreed time frame.
+ Practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety.
+ Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance.

The Project Controls Lead (PCL) works closely with leadership in Business Operations (BusOps), Projects & Construction (P&C), and other functional areas to deliver optimized project controls services for a broad array of projects in construction, operation, maintenance and management of facility assets, infrastructure and systems.
The PCL will lead a cross functional project controls team developing, maintaining, and optimizing systems to manage project schedules, costs, risks, performance, and contract changes. The PCL is the central hub for project controls-ensuring timelines, costs, and forecasts are aligned across teams.
The PCL will possess strong leadership, team management, time management, and resource management capabilities, strong written and verbal communication skills, and tactful negotiation skills.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Directly and in coordination with project schedulers, develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules across the full project portfolio as well as a centralized master schedule.
+ Collaborate closely with pricing, finance, subcontracts, and project managers to ensure cohesive project controls
+ Maintain and update project budgets, forecasts, and Estimates at Completion (EACs) in collaboration with project managers and finance
+ Monitor project performance metrics and proactively identify risks or
+ deviations from plan
+ Provide regular reporting and analysis to stakeholders, including variance analysis and recommendations. Prepare standard weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting as required by leadership or for contract deliverables to the customer.
+ Facilitate integrated planning sessions with stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure consistent use of project control tools and methodologies
+ Assist in the preparation of proposals and pricing strategies from a controls perspective
+ Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace
+ Any other reasonable duties as requested
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Minimum Essential**
+ Proven experience in project controls, ideally within construction or infrastructure projects
+ Strong proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and financial tracking systems
+ Solid understanding of cost control principles, forecasting, and EAC methodologies
+ Undergraduate Qualifications or Equivalent Work Experience and Training Field: Business, Management, Engineering,
+ Construction Management, or Project Management.
**Desirable**

Roles & Responsibilities:
MITRE | Australia is delivering transformational impact in Digital Mission Engineering (DME) and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO)-including full-spectrum Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Electronic Warfare (C5ISREW) capabilities-critical to Australia's national defence. As Project Lead, you will guide the strategic evolution of integrated Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Digital Mission Engineering (DME), and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) efforts that support the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and the broader Joint Force, contributing directly to Australia's most pressing national security priorities. This includes advancing beyond traditional DME by applying a full MBSE approach-enabling end-to-end capability design, analysis, and validation across complex mission threads. You will work closely with an expanding stakeholder community, including Commander Fleet Command (COMFLT), Information Warfare Force (IWFOR), Systems Program Offices (SPO), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and other Defence and industry partners, to ensure integrated, data-driven solutions that meet evolving operational needs.
In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to Australian Defence stakeholders, helping shape future force design and capability decisions. You will lead a geographically distributed, multidisciplinary MITRE team and deliver high-impact outcomes in mission engineering, modeling, simulation, and spectrum-enabled mission planning.

Basic Qualifications:

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
The Project Kuiper Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) Consumer team is looking for a talented individual to manage the ANZ growth strategy. The Demand Generation Lead B2C role leads the day-to-day subscriber acquisition business rhythms, defines and optimizes the subscriber acquisition strategy and plans across all available sales channels to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual gross adds, incoming revenue, and incoming profitability targets.
This role will lead a cross-functional effort and will work closely with product, marketing, merchandising, operations and third-party sales channel owners within Kuiper and Amazon to maintain a cohesive customer acquisition strategy across all sales channels and customer-facing touch-points.
You will have a high degree of ownership as you acquire new subscribers, scale growth opportunities, and manage overall business performance.
A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work effectively in a matrixed organization, and adept at understanding how subscription businesses work in Australia and New Zealand.
