**Who will you be working with?**
Reporting to WA Services Leader, as a key member of the Services team, you will provide Wabtec Locomotive technical advice to Roy Hill maintenance staff for all owned locomotives on the Roy Hill rail network. This includes future implementation of zero emissions locomotives (battery locomotives) as the first in the world operation.
**Where is the position located?**
The successful candidate can be based at Karratha OR Port Hedland OR Perth. They should be flexible to work at other sites/projects in the Pilbara region. The starting roster will be 7 days on 7 days off but this can vary depending on the site/project/Client requirement.
**What will your typical day look like?**
+ Respond to Roy Hill requests for troubleshooting, failure support, field modification oversight, issue feedback and engineering support;
+ Provide coaching and assistance to customer on product maintenance, troubleshooting and repair;
+ Track product performance metrics and issue recommendations for continuous improvement;
+ Coordinate implementation of field modifications and monitor effectiveness;
+ Perform joint investigation of failed components with the customer for warranty administration;
+ Partner with the customer to develop and have a smooth transition of BEL locomotive into operations;
+ Interact with Wabtec teams regionally on issues, product development and training;
+ Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and customer satisfaction;
+ Report on performance criteria and customer monthly meeting including RX's, trending and pareto CCD charts;
+ Develop a deep understanding of the customer's business to identify opportunities for account growth;
+ Day-to-Day ERP Transactions to ensure timely material transactions;
+ Monitor Fleet performance and communicate trends to parts ordering and lead min max levels;
+ Achieve internal level 1 certification training within 18 months; and
+ Operate safely and under site isolation processes.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Minimum of 5 years' experience working within the Rail Industry preferably on Wabtec / GET locomotives;
+ Recent experience maintaining and troubleshooting EVO & FDL locomotives;
+ Ability to manage effectively several projects simultaneously in a dynamic and face paced environment;
+ Demonstrated ability to support and resolve problems with customer focus;
+ Strong customer service mindset;
+ Strong oral and written communication skills;
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; and
+ Own technical fleet performance on site in regarding to product performance.

As the Technical Representative for the Resource Industries Sales, Service & Technology division of Caterpillar you will be the primary conduit between the dealers and customers for product performance and problem management within an assigned territory.

+ Be Caterpillar's lead for Product Problem Management discussions with dealers and customers.
+ Act as a key resource to support execution of product performance improvement initiatives at target sites.
+ Manage service and commercial goodwill support administration across allocated dealers and customers.
+ Support NPI (New Product Introduction) and NMI (New Market Introduction) launches in the allocated territory.
**Background Experience:**
+ A tertiary qualification within a relevant field, or equivalent experience
+ Prior experience in a field position
+ Ability to work independently and to communicate effectively with others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers
+ Proven ability to communicate and negotiate across all levels of the organisation
+ Must be able to work collaboratively with Dealers, Caterpillar and the customer to meet deliverables

**Who will you be working with?**
Reporting to the Customer Service Leader, the purpose of the Technical Advisor role is to provide technical support for Wabtec Locomotives to our customers maintenance and engineering staff.

**What will your typical day look like?**
+ While this role is based in Perth, occasional travel may be required (approx. 3-4 times per year)
+ Coordinate implementation of field modifications and monitor effectiveness.

+ Provide coaching and assistance to client for troubleshooting, failure support, field modification oversight, issue feedback and engineering support.

**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Experience working within the Rail Industry and maintaining and troubleshooting. eg. Electrical / pneumatic or mechanical / electrical; Wabtec locomotives is preferred.

**The Opportunity**
The Technical Director - Production is responsible in providing high end technical and event expertise and to be a resource for the entire event production process from the event inception through to the final delivery. Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman.
**Your Role**

Responsibilities:
+ Provide expert technical advice and support for Configuration Management (CM) activities across Defence acquisition and sustainment projects.
+ Develop and implement CM plans, processes, and tools in line with Defence standards (such as ASDEFCON, ISO 10007, or MIL-STD-973).
+ Maintain Configuration Items (CIs), support configuration status accounting, and facilitate Change Control Boards (CCBs).
+ Ensure traceability of documentation and data across system lifecycles.
+ Liaise with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and government representatives to maintain compliance and support system assurance objectives.
+ Support engineering reviews, audits, and certification processes with accurate CM records and artefacts.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement of CM systems and documentation practices.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Previous experience in a technical advisory role within the Defence industry is essential.
+ Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Systems Management, or a related technical discipline.
