Location: Perth, Western Australia (with limited site travel)
Project Duration: Multi-year (subject to funding and project scope)
Role Overview: Join a dynamic infrastructure team delivering network solutions across corporate, production, and process control environments. This role offers full life cycle ownership from design through to commissioning and support transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, implement, and commission network infrastructure across multiple domains.
- Develop detailed technical scope documentation and low-level designs.
- Produce and execute change management plans including implementation, testing, and rollback.
- Maintain and update technical documentation including IPAM, CMDB, and network monitoring systems.
- Participate in asset and solution transition to support teams.
- Manage multiple work packages concurrently, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent experience in IP network and security design.
- Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols (REP, STP, OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, Access Points, and Firewalls (FMC/FTD).
- Ability to troubleshoot access issues and implement new firewall policies.
- Proven experience in developing technical documentation including design, implementation, test, and back-out plans.
- Familiarity with fibre optics and ability to interpret fibre diagrams.
- Experience with change management processes.
- Exposure to mining or industrial environments is highly desirable.

Your new role
We are seeking a seasoned network professional with a passion for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge network infrastructure. Join the team and lead the delivery of robust, secure, and scalable network solutions.
6-month contract with high potential for extension
Location: South of river
Pay Rate: $850-900 Daily plus Superannuation
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure.Administer and support network and communication systems, ensuring high availability and performance.Lead technical projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network solutions with business needs.Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution.Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.

Extensive experience with: Advanced Cisco switching and routingFirewalls and Network Access ControlWireless technologiesCisco IP TelephonyProven track record in network and communications systems administration.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.In-depth knowledge of network and communications hardware.Experience managing and delivering technical projects.Solid understanding of IT security infrastructure technologies and practices.
