Your primary responsibility is delivering culturally aware and clinically safe primary healthcare services. You will be based in one of the health centres associated with this wonderful health care service and will be dedicated to providing quality care.
The Location
You will be living in the Big Rivers Region of the Northern Territory. The Big Rivers Region in the Northern Territory of Australia is named after the Daly, Victoria, and Katherine Rivers. It has a rugged landscape, diverse flora and fauna, and is important to Indigenous culture. The area is used for pastoralism and tourism, with popular activities including national parks, fishing, and camping.

Job Details
- Pathway to RAN work - as long as you are an experienced Primary Health Nurse OR Acute Nurse you can apply!
- Up to $129,043.000 per annum pro rata + superannuation
- Short term contract options - minimum 8 weeks up to 12 weeks available.

- Ability to travel between sites if required
- Must have full Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship).

- Work within 1 of 4 remote area clinics based in Central Australia
- Fully furnished housing provided
- Return travel provided
- Excellent pay rates from $104.91 per hour up to $12.77 per hour. This includes the casual loading, on call, callouts and overtime.
- Deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive primary healthcare services to remote community members, including health assessments, chronic disease management, and preventive care.
- Participation in the after-hours on-call roster for after-hours medical emergencies accompanied by on-call support worker
- Respond to and manage acute medical situations and emergencies with limited resources, providing initial assessment, treatment, and stabilisation of patients before evacuation if necessary
- Provide on-call services for urgent or emergency situations as required, ensuring continuous healthcare coverage in remote settings.
- Current AHPRA registration, with no restrictions
- Demonstrated experience in Remote Area Nursing
- Current REC and/or MEC certifications
- Current NT driver's license
- Must have full Australian working rights
- Ability to adapt to the unique challenges and rewards of remote healthcare

- $95.00 per hour day rate (plus penalties for overtime, weekends, on call etc).

Working in this Northern Territory health facility you will help meet the needs and priorities of local communities to improve health outcomes in primary health care. As part of your role you will:
- Deliver comprehensive primary health care within the organisation
- Ensure the focus of care is on the needs of Aboriginal clients within the context of their cultural identity and social circumstances.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Relevant experience in Primary Health Care
- Remote Emergency Management (REC) or equivalent certificate
- Recognised Immunisation Provider certificate, current COVID vaccination provider certificates for Pfizer and Paediatric vaccines
- Current BLS/ALS
- Must be ISTAT competent, certified and have access number or willing to obtain
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)

Details
- $81.50 per hour + penalties for overtime, weekends, on call, etc.
- 4-12 week agency contracts
- Must be available to start within the next 2-4 weeks
- Fully furnished housing available
- Return travel provided

You will be working within a fantastic, committed and supportive team who really value the job that you do. Working in this Northern Territory health facility you will help meet the needs and priorities of local communities to improve health outcomes in AOD. During the week you will be working in Barkly communities and then the weekends based in Tennant Creek.

To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
- Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in mental health nursing, particularly in AOD
- Current REC or equivalent
- Current recognised immunisation provider certificate
- Vaccination provider certificates for Pfzier and Paediatric vaccines
- Current Maternity Emergency Management or midwifery upskill or commitment to completing this within your contract
- Current BLS
- ISTAT competency certified and have access number
- Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
