Australian owned Fire Protection firm with a reputation as a true market leader for fire services, looking after a range of sites including hospitals, industrial warehouses, hotels, commercial and residential buildings.

Due to the continuous growth and several new and ongoing maintenance contracts they are looking for additional Fire Technicians to join the team.

They are offering suitable candidates a positive team environment, excellent wages, a fully maintained company vehicle as well as a mobile phone and company uniform.

The candidates we are looking for need to be reliable, well presented, a self motivated team member and be able to work with minimum supervision.

Applicants should have a above average knowledge of the fire protection industry locally, good customer service skills and have experience in Testing / Maintenance of fire systems.

The Role (s)

  • Monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual testing.
  • Detection, EWIS, OWS, fire doors, fire extinguishers, hose reels, sprinkler systems, hydrants, exit and emergency lighting.
  • Carry out minor repairs to dry fire systems.
  • Communicate and engage with your team, work coordinators and management to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Engage in cross training with some of the best technicians in the industry.
  • Ability to liaise with internal staff effectively regarding any work changes and schedule updates
  • General housekeeping and document control
Selection Criteria
  • Australian work rights (PR or Citizen preferred)
  • Sound knowledge testing requirements for Fire Panel, EWIS, Doors, Smoke Alarms, Exit/Emergency lighting, Fire Hose Reels
  • Confidence with computers and software
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, a professional attitude and great personal presentation
  • Proven ability to achieve targets while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
  • Ability to identify issues during testing and report accurately
  • Current Drivers Licence and White Card
  • Cert II in Fire Protection (desirable)
  • FPAS Accreditation Inspect and Test (desirable)

Description Overview

This is a Part Time position based in Sydney.

This position is responsible for the quality assurance supervision of third-party manufacturers, packers, and storage facilities.
This includes performing Perrigo product release, auditing, addressing customer complaints and deviations associated with third party manufacturers.


In this role you will also:

  • Establish relationships with third party suppliers to enhance product quality and Perrigo Australia manufacturing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work with a high level of independence.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff and third-party contractor personnel.
  • The contracted hours for this role will be 20 hours per week.
Core hours are 8am-4:30pm Monday and Tuesday, and a half day on Wednesday. Scope of the Role
  • Identify and assess new Contractors in conjunction with relevant department.
  • Prepare and maintain GMP / Quality agreements with all Contractors to ensure all responsibilities are clearly stated, all GMP requirements are specified, and that Perrigo's interests are protected from a quality, GMP and commercial perspective where required.
  • Monitor Contract manufactures quality indicators and performance to identify potential problems before they affect product.
  • Greater than 95% compliance with the training requirements. Attend all training sessions as determined by Manager.
  • Encourage a Quality culture with all staff and always act in a manner in accordance with quality standards and Perrigo's values.
  • Ensure relevant standards are complied with and that changes to the Perrigo Quality Management System within the scope of the department are in line with internal and external requirements.
  • Perform Release for Distribution for Products manufactured by Contractors and other Perrigo sites where specified in GMP / Quality agreements in accordance with the products Marketing Authorisation and company procedures.
  • Performing cGMP / ISO training for Perrigo personnel and Contractors.
  • Perform on the job training on specific job function, process or procedure as required.
  • Review deviations from third party manufacturers to ensure the investigation has adequately determined; the scope, assessed the impact on the product and the root cause. Based on the deviation’s investigation ensure agreement with the contract manufactures product disposition decision. Where the deviation investigation is not adequate, or the disposition decision is not appropriate work with Contractors Quality representative to reach a suitable outcome to the situation.
  • Review Corrective actions proposed by the Contractor to ensure they are adequate. Track all corrective and preventative actions approved to ensure timely closure.
  • Investigate customer complaints, determine suitable response and associated corrective and preventative action as required.
  • Assess Contractor Change controls to assess, appropriateness of the change, impact on marketing authorisation, adequacy of risk assessments and implantations plan of the change control.
  • Review the following quality documents for adequacy and completeness: Master Batch Records, Product Specifications, Product Test Procedures, Validation Protocols and Reports, Stability Protocols and Reports, Periodic Product Quality Reviews, Change Controls.
  • Perform internal and external audits as specified by QA Manager to assess compliance to relevant industry standards, company policies and procedures and contractual obligations
Experience Required
  • Tertiary qualifications in science or engineering.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in the development, operation and maintenance of relevant quality assurance management systems.
  • Understanding of chemical and microbiological test process used in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of Marketing Authorization process in Australia and New Zealand.
  • The ability to create meaningful relationships with a broad range of people.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point and ability to learn new software applications.

We're looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team who will be responsible for planning, executing, and systematising testing across our credit origination platform. This is a hands-on role covering component, end-to-end, and automated testing, working closely with the Credit team and the engineering squad.

The successful candidate will bring deep domain expertise in credit and underwriting processes, coupled with strong testing skills, excellent organisation, and a disciplined approach to ensuring deadlines are met.

The Role

  • Write clear and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Execute testing across component, system, end-to-end, and UI flows.
  • Design, implement, and manage automated testing frameworks and processes.
  • Validate both complex calculations and technical concepts through rigorous testing.
  • Ensure all testing activities are well organised, tracked, and delivered on time.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and the Credit team to identify issues early and resolve them quickly.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders.
  • Systematise testing processes into repeatable, efficient workflows.
  • Work tightly with all Athena team members to design and build the platform, ensuring a stellar final product.

Who we're looking for?
  • You pioneer and champion quality assurance, automation and manual testing.
  • You ideally have 5-8 years of work experience performing in fast-paced agile roles in a dynamic customer-first environment
  • You have deep financial services Credit/Underwriting Domain Expertise: must understand the credit origination process in detail.
  • Strong knowledge of modern test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to explain issues clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable testing both back-end logic/calculations and front-end UI experiences.

As the Senior QA Specialist, you will:
+ Lead and manage day-to-day Quality and Regulatory requirements for the ANZ business.
+ Act as the local Subject Matter Expert for ISO13485 and quality processes, driving compliance across the organisation.
+ Conduct internal audits, coordinate Management Reviews, and lead CAPA board meetings.
+ Oversee custom product validation and spreadsheet validation activities.
+ Partner with global QA/RA teams on process improvements and issue resolution.
+ Manage ANZ vigilance reporting, complaints handling, and regulatory submissions.
+ Train colleagues on quality and regulatory requirements to uplift knowledge across the business.

**What You'll Bring**

+ Minimum 4 years' experience with ISO13485 in a medical device production environment.
+ Strong knowledge of Australian medical device regulations (TGA).
