Mygration is engaged by our client based in Winnellie, NT, 0820 to recruit a skilled candidate for the following position: Sound Technician/Audio Technician with a base salary starting from $76,550 to $80,000 depending on skill level.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Audio Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality sound production across various media and live performances. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
1 Equipment Setup & Operation:
• et up, calibrate, and break down professional audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, speakers, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and outboard gear. < r>• C nduct thorough sound checks to verify proper signal flow, levels, and connectivity before events or recordings. < r>• O erate mixing consoles (analog & digital) to balance, EQ, compress, and enhance audio in real-time for live broadcasts, concerts, or studio sessions. < r>• T oubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio equipment, cabling, software, or signal interference. < r>2 Sound Quality Control & Maintenance:
• T st and adjust audio equipment for optimal volume, clarity, and tonal balance. < r>• M nitor live sound feeds to ensure consistent quality, minimizing feedback, distortion, or dropouts. < r>• E aluate equipment condition and perform routine maintenance, including cleaning connectors, testing backups, and arranging repairs when necessary. < r>• M intain an organized inventory of audio gear, cables, and accessories. < r>3 Client & Production Support:
• C llaborate with directors, producers, musicians, and performers to meet their audio requirements. < r>• P ovide recommendations for sound enhancement, microphone placement, and acoustic treatment. < r>• E sure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality sound and addressing feedback promptly. < r>• A sist in post-production tasks such as editing, mixing, and mastering when required. < r>4 Technical Upgrades & Innovation:
• S ay updated on industry trends, recommending upgrades for hardware (e.g., microphones, interfaces) and software. < r>• I plement new audio technologies, wireless systems, or immersive sound formats (e.g., Dolby Atmos, surround sound) as needed. < r>
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 2 years of experience as an Audio Technician, Sound Engineer, or similar role. < r>• H nds-on experience with audio equipment (mixers, mics, speakers, DAWs like Pro Tools/Logic). < r>• S rong knowledge of live sound, recording, and signal flow. < r>• A ility to troubleshoot and fix technical issues quickly. < r>• C mfortable with physical work (lifting gear, setting up stages). < r>• F exible schedule (nights, weekends, travel as needed). < r>• O n Transport
