Join our team as a **Spa Therapist** at the Heavenly Spa by Westin. In this role, you'll provide guests with personalized sensory experiences, from indulgent massages and purifying facials to invigorating body therapies. With five treatment rooms, including two designed for couples, and a steam room, our spa is an oasis of calm within The Westin Brisbane.
**Key responsibilities**
+ Provide professional services, including massage, body treatments, nail care, waxing, and skincare, tailored to guests' needs.
+ Assess guest needs, inquire about contraindications, and evaluate skin condition to ensure the appropriateness of scheduled treatments.
+ Offer personalized advice on proper skin, hair, or nail care and recommend home care regimens to maintain results.
+ Promote and sell spa services and retail products with a balanced focus on service delivery and product sales (50/50 split).
+ Prepare treatment rooms and workstations with necessary products, equipment, and supplies to ensure guest comfort and safety.
+ Escort guests to and from treatment areas, ensuring a seamless and relaxing experience.
+ Maintain cleanliness and hygiene by cleaning, maintaining, and sterilizing tools and work areas.
+ Monitor and adhere to the daily schedule, managing time effectively to stay on track with appointments.
+ Handle inappropriate guest behavior professionally by stopping service and notifying the supervisor or manager.
+ Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management promptly.
+ Complete safety training and certifications as required and follow property-specific emergency procedures.
**About you**
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in a spa, ideally within a luxury spa environment.
+ Confident in upselling and promoting retail products and spa services.
+ Passionate about the spa industry with a desire to grow and learn.
+ Open to exploring new product ranges, spa experiences, and equipment.
+ Maintain up-to-date skills and hold a recognized Beauty Therapy Diploma or Certificate III-IV.
+ Flexible availability to work on a 7-day rotating roster, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and public holidays.
+ Demonstrate a proven track record of relevant experience, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), excellent attention to detail, and a vibrant, engaging personality.
