Amazon is seeking a strategic financial services compliance professional to serve as a Compliance Manager within the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) of Amazon's Payments team, based in Sydney.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience developing compliance frameworks across two key areas: Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) frameworks and policies aligned with AUSTRAC requirements, and regulatory compliance for payments and lending focused on ASIC and APRA standards. They will also be experienced in analysing how regulatory changes impact business operations.

Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with legal and public policy teams to interpret new regulations and undertake impact analysis to inform decision-making by senior leaders.
- Define compliance requirements and determine appropriate compliance policies and controls to meet local AU regulatory obligations.
- Work with technology and operations teams as they build and scale AML/CTF and payments-related controls.
- Create a documented view of regulatory obligations in order to detect and respond to regulatory developments and issues that may pose compliance risk; educate senior leaders and guide local business teams in the development of risk-based controls.
- Prepare reports to senior management and senior business leaders with timely and actionable intelligence concerning regulatory regimes applicable to Amazon Australia.

Basic Qualifications

**Your New Role**
The Content Compliance Manager, ANZ is responsible for reviewing content to be exhibited on HBO Max in Australia (and, as applicable, New Zealand) to determine appropriate content classifications and consumer advice and for liaising with regulators in Australia and New Zealand to ensure the timely resolution of any queries or differences in approach.
This involves working with HBO Max stakeholders from the Legal, Programming, Merchandising, Compliance, Content Operations, Promotions and Reversioning and Certification Operations teams to provide timely advice on applicable regulations and classifications and developing a strong dialogue and working relationship with the Australian and NZ regulatory authorities.
**Key Responsibilities and Qualities:**
+ Viewing and appraising content against applicable media regulations in Australia & NZ
+ Determine content classification and consumer advice for each piece of content reviewed, based on legal requirements and cultural/societal norms
+ Develop strategy for approach to content review, content classification and consumer advice
+ Working directly with regulators in Australia & NZ on changes to codes; responses to viewer complaints; and assisting with legal reviews and responses
+ Responding to regulators in Australia or NZ and changing classification decisions as required.
+ Working closely with the Reversioning and Certification Operations team on legal and classification issues to review and advise on WBD productions and co-productions during the production phase and once production is complete
+ Advising key stakeholders and business teams on approach to consumer advice and classifications including assessing regulatory risks and likely responses

**Required Skills:**
+ Similar experience with large media organization in Australia and/or NZ working in regulatory and content compliance teams
+ Certification as an accredited classifier in Australia required.

What You'll DoIn the role of Systems Engineer: Risk Manager, your duties will include:
+ Lead risk assessments and develop risk management plans for systems and projects across various domains.
+ Identify potential risks, threats, and vulnerabilities within system designs and operations.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to create and implement risk mitigation strategies and solutions.
+ Conduct regular risk reviews and ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:
+ Must be a US or Australian citizen
+ Must Possess an active US Top Secret/SCI w/ Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
+ Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
+ Must have 7 years of related experience supporting large systems and sub-systems.
+ Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
+ Proven experience in systems engineering and risk management.
+ Strong understanding of risk analysis tools and techniques.
+ Expertise in system architecture and lifecycle management.
+ Ability to assess and mitigate technical, operational, and financial risks.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
This role will be located in Alice Springs. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

We are looking for someone to support a variety of different projects across the country including large commercial buildings, airports, schools and many more. In this role, you will work across a huge range of different activities:
+ Help assess of building designs against the provisions of the National Construction Code/Building Code of Australia for a range of building classifications.
+ Liaise with clients and prepare the National Construction Code/Building Code of Australia compliance reports.
+ Collaborate with clients to help upgrade their fire safety measures.
+ Enjoy site visits to view progression and completion of the large projects.
+ Help prepare "Performance Solution" Design verification reports for non-fire performance solutions
**Requirements And Qualifications**
+ Must be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident.
+ Post graduate qualification in 'Building Surveying' or a similar stream along with relevant industry experience.
+ Love to collaborate with clients and other teams within the projects.
+ Knowledge of the performance requirements of the BCA
+ Familiar with the construction industry and capable of being accredited as a Building Surveyor (Restricted).
+ Have a detailed knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Regulations, Home Building Act and Regulations and the Disability Discrimination Act and Regulations.
+ Be familiar with the Work Health and Safety requirements for the office and onsite.
+ Personal drive, results-orientated with a friendly, can-do attitude and a high level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility.
