The OpportunityKBR is seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer to assist the Systems Program Office (SPO) in developing support plans, services and contracts that deliver acquisition logistics outcomes. You'll support the transition of sustainment requirements into in-service arrangements and contribute to overall program success in line with transition planning.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage inventory and update ILS documentation in line with acquisition requirements.
+ Support compliance activities, including ACT and MILIS transactions such as codification, dues-in, and PIOS.
+ Draft logistics-related briefs, reports, and correspondence.
+ Assist with CDRL reviews, FIC inputs to CLC processes, and logistics policy clarification.
+ Provide input into systems analysis, costing, business case development and procurement activities.
Skills and Experience
+ Strong background in acquisition or sustainment logistics, ideally within Defence (Uniformed, APS, or Contractor).
+ Proficiency in ILS documentation, inventory management, and understanding of ASDEFCON and CLC frameworks.
+ Ability to manage or contribute to Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) programs and life cycle cost assessments.
+ Skilled in configuration and transition management, with excellent written and verbal communication.
+ NV1 security clearance (minimum), with the ability to obtain NV2.
Other Requirements
+ Sound knowledge of SADL, ILS risks, and FIC relationships.
+ Experience with Defence workforce planning, including material safety compliance (e.g., SDSs).
+ Familiarity with Electronic Warfare systems is desirable.
+ Location: RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA - on-site attendance required up to 5 days a week depending on access and duties.

As a Logistics Support Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping the supportability and sustainment outcomes of critical armoured vehicle platforms.
Working within the Defence Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) framework, you will undertake Support Logistics Analysis (SLA) activities that ensure platforms such as infantry fighting vehicles, main battle tanks, and associated mission systems are operationally ready throughout their life of type.
You will collaborate with engineering, project management and Defence stakeholders to ensure that logistic support solutions are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with capability requirements.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
+ Conduct and document Support Logistics Analysis (SLA) to inform logistics decision-making across acquisition and sustainment phases
+ Contribute to ILS documentation, ensuring compliance with Defence requirements and integration across all Support System Constituent Capabilities (SSCCs)
+ Undertake maintenance policy and level-of-repair analysis to optimise platform availability and cost-effectiveness
+ Provide input into spares forecasting, provisioning and supply chain planning for armoured fighting vehicles and associated subsystems
+ Support the development of Life Cycle Cost models and risk-based sustainment strategies
+ Liaise with Defence, OEMs and industry partners to ensure seamless integration of logistic support elements into broader project and sustainment frameworks
+ Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
+ Sound knowledge of ILS practices within the Defence Acquisition Lifecycle
+ Practical experience with Supportability Analysis techniques (LORA, spares analysis, MTA)
+ Ability to develop and contribute to ILS deliverables (ILS Plans, ILS Concepts, ILSPs, etc.)
+ Exposure to the ASDEFCON contracting suite
+ Understanding of risk management principles and sustainment cost modelling
+ Relevant tertiary qualifications in logistics, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent Defence experience)
+ Current AGSVA Security Clearance (NV1 or ability to obtain)

You will play a key part in ensuring the availability, readiness, and ongoing supportability of AFV platforms and related systems, working across spares provisioning, maintenance planning, and technical documentation. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.

**Your New Role and Responsibilities**
The ILS Engineer is responsible for planning and delivering the logistics support framework that ensures complex systems are operationally available, maintainable, and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle.
