**What does a Graduate Surveyor in Community Development do?**
* Preparing draft survey plans and using your attention to detail to check that documentation is ready to go.
* Undertaking a range of topographical, cadastral, engineering and construction surveys.
* Collaborate with other business centres and offices to support their surveying needs.
* Providing accurate survey computations and data and for preparation of plans and supporting documentation.
**About You**
+ Bachelor's degree level qualifications in Surveying or equivalent Passion for learning and problem-solving
+ Eligible to work in Australia
+ Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation

**What does a Graduate Civil Engineer in Community Development do?**
It depends on the team you are in, but your day-to-day tasks could include:
* Working alongside a team of engineers, designers and project managers to deliver quality engineering and technical activities to achieve successful projects
* Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants, and contractors to facilitate effective project coordination.
* Complete design calculations and records within time and budget restraints
* Gain experience in site inspections and construction contracts

headspace Early Psychosis is a nationally recognised leader in youth mental health, delivering evidence-based, recovery-oriented services. Our model of care is grounded in the renowned Orygen EPPIC (Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Centre) framework, ensuring world-class early intervention for young people.
Role Overview
Lead / Support the development, implementation, & evaluation of the community development strategy within the headspace services.
The Community Development Coordinator will also build the capacity of the community to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and be able to respond to mental health concerns.
As a Community Development Coordinator, your role will include (not limited to):
- Actively promote the service within the community to improve community awareness of mental illness, services available and how to access these services.
- Coordinate and/or participate in community events including interagency, consortium, consumer representative groups and partner meetings.
- Facilitate information sessions with external services such as Department of Communities and Justice, General Practitioners (GP’s), Local Health Districts and other Community Managed Organisations.
- Support the development of resources, activities and events to engage consumers and their families.
- Tertiary qualification relevant to the field of work, such as health promotion, social work, psychology, or community development/engagement; or Cert IV Mental Health
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Three or more years of experience in your field of expertise.
- Experience in facilitating Community Development initiatives and projects.
- Ability to develop, document, monitor and report on community awareness strategies and plans within established guidelines and frameworks.
- Sound knowledge of mental health promotion and messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to consult with a wide range of stakeholders to develop local referral networks and implement community awareness and education campaigns within established guidelines or procedures.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends for events as required.
- Experience in collaborative partnerships with government or non-government organisations, including working with a range of community partners.
- Experience working with specific populations of people (e.g. Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander populations, CALD, LTBGQI+ communities).
