There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

**Job Description**
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers while driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. Installing and maintaining electronic equipment in Imaging modalities. This role is servicing the Wollongong, Illawarra & South Coast NSW region.
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Install equipment in a high quality, professional manner with strong attention to detail in accordance with the company standards, compliance standards and customer requirements.
+ Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with company standards, compliance standards and customer requirements.
+ Make corrective repair calls in a timely manner, aligned with customer contract requirements and repair the equipment in accordance with company standards and directives and customer requirements.
+ Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions (FMI's).
+ Advise management when response time objectives cannot be met i.e. If there are two site visits in relation to the same problem, inform Senior Field Engineer (SFE).
+ The Field Service Engineer retains ownership of the problem until it is resolved.
+ The Field Service Engineer must keep the customer, SFE, and Service Delivery Manager (SDM) informed on progress.
+ Keep management and commercial account managers fully aware of all developments in the installed base.
+ Keep customers fully satisfied by keeping them informed of activities when on site and/or working on their behalf whilst on site.
+ Report regularly to management in accordance with reporting guidelines/procedures.
+ Complete other assignments and projects as directed.
+ Follow the alert procedure for system down.
+ Attend technical and general skills development training courses as directed and keep abreast of developments/technical product information.
+ Work within the defined responsibilities as documented in GE Healthcare Spirit and Letter Commitment Form to ensure compliance.
+ Accurately complete and lodge all service documentation in a timely manner within company guidelines.
+ Ensure all company property (tools, test equipment, motor vehicle) is kept in optimum condition and test tools calibrated according to the schedule requirements.
+ Ensure that parts usage/ordering is optimized from both the companies and the customer's perspective.
**Quality Specific Goals**
+ Be aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
+ Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
+ Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
+ Identify and report any personal quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
+ Ensure timely job dispatch closure and send customer reports as required by company guidelines.
+ Ensure completion of all field modifications instructions (FMI's) within prescribed timeframe. Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
+ Mechanical/Electronic/ Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technician or equivalent electrical trade
+ Relevant licenses as required by Federal or State Legislation (eg: Radiation License, Electrical Licenses) and Work Cards (eg: White Card)
+ The role will have a strong focus on medical IT systems. Skills in TCP/IP, WIFI and medical networks is preferred.
**Healthcare Sector Australia - Vaccine for Preventable Diseases**
+ Depending on location, some States have mandated or are intending to mandate that contractors who enter healthcare sites must be able to provide evidence of vaccination for vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs) prior to working at their premises.
+ GE Healthcare does have an EHS Medical Services Program. We have an immunisation and vaccination program covering any GE Healthcare employee who is required to enter a site and conduct work where there is the likelihood of potential exposure or acquisition through respiratory means to VPDs.

**Desired Characteristics**
+ Technical capability to work on Diagnostic Imaging such as CT, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray and MRI preferred.
+ Ability to learn new technologies quickly and a willingness and commitment to continuous learning/improvement and extension of skills across both modalities.
+ Previous experience interpreting schematic diagrams and following technical reference manuals to perform effective repair and planned maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment.
+ Strong commitment and experience working within strict workplace safety standards and guidelines.
+ Solid fault-finding and problem-solving techniques.
+ Demonstrated ability/experience working on various computer networking systems.
+ Ability to plan and organize work requirements effectively using proven personal time management, planning, reasoning and prioritizing skills.

Main purpose of job
1. To ensure new and aftermarket Howden products in the field are installed, operate and are maintained to Howden standards and client requirements.
**_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be._**
Accountabilities
Balancing and Alignment
o Visit sites to undertake onsite balancing and/or laser alignment, identify the cause of the problem,
rectify on site if possible or advise further action to be taken ensuring customer production losses are
minimised.
1. Servicing
o Undertake servicing in terms of customer planned maintenance contracts, check equipment, carry out required maintenance and produce a report of work done in order to comply with the Service Level Agreement.
2. Commissioning of New Installations
o Supervision of new install product including HV compressors.
o Check the installation and alignment of equipment. Start machinery, check vibrations and temperatures and run the fan for a test period.
o Complete a Commissioning Report including checksheets and a Completion Certificate for contract closures.
o Ensure the machine is ready for full production service.
3. Site/Project Management
o Manage contract staff, liaise with client representative/s, budget management, maintain schedules including progress reports, OHSE management, quality control management, equipment management and accommodation management to ensure acceptable results for Howden and the Clients.
4. Troubleshooting
o Carry out detailed machinery analysis, interpret results and liaise with Howden engineering department on how to most efficiently resolve customer problems.
5. Aftermarket Sales Support
o Survey and Reporting
o Site visits with design Engineers
6. Legal, Health and Safety
o Take all reasonable care for own personal health and safety, as well as for that of everyone who may be affected by your action in your workplace.
o Liaise and co-operate with company management with regards to the current health and safety legislation and obligations within the location and area where your performing your duties.
**_Your Education Should Be._**
o Qualified Mechanical Tradesperson
o Minimum 5 years post qualification experience of working with rotating assemblies in an industrial/mining/power station environment
o Competence in shaft alignment on rotating machinery
o Competence in HV Compressors
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
o Experience with site project management
Desirable skills, knowledge & behaviours
o Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
o Formal training in vibration analysis
o Sound knowledge in rotating machine and heat exchange equipment
o Formal training in OHSE practices
o Formal Training and/or experience in on-site project management

The Role
Weatherford is seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead our artificial lift operations with primary focus on reciprocating rod lift (RRL) systems, pump shop operations, and field service excellence. This role ensures the delivery of superior technical service, safety compliance, and operational excellence while managing field teams and maintaining strong client relationships in support of exploration and production activities.
Key Responsibilities
+ Oversee and coordinate all field service activities including RRL system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization across multiple locations.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop field service teams and technical personnel through coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Manage pump shop operations including assembly, teardown, inspection, and failure analysis of rod pumps and artificial lift equipment.
+ Demonstrate effective safety leadership and ensure strict adherence to QHSSE standards across all field operations and workshop activities.
+ Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures, provide technical support, and implement corrective actions to maximize production efficiency.
+ Maintain strong relationships with client representatives, participate in service quality reviews, and support business development opportunities.
+ Develop and manage field activity schedules, resource allocation, and operational cost control while maintaining superior service quality.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline required.
+ 8-10 years of oilfield service operations experience with significant focus on artificial lift systems and RRL equipment.
+ Proven supervisory experience managing field service teams in challenging operational environments.
+ Strong technical expertise in beam pumps, artificial lift systems, and maintenance engineering with failure analysis capabilities.
+ Experience with SAP-PM or similar maintenance management systems for work order management and planning.
+ Comprehensive understanding of oilfield safety practices, regulatory compliance, and HSE leadership principles.
+ Professional engineering certification, Middle East operations experience, and artificial lift technology certifications preferred.

**About the Role**
As an Engineer II, Field Service, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our clients in NSW/ACT and across ANZ as needed. You will work with technically innovative instruments to provide service, technical expertise and support. The position will also help resolve customer critical issues and provide customer feedback to our global and local teams while developing your professional skills at the same time.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform professional on-site Installation and Commissioning of Thermo Fisher Scientific equipment and support other instrumentation as the need arises
+ Train your customers in the accurate and safe operation of the equipment
+ Visit Customer sites for regular Maintenance Services such as Planned Maintenance, Repairs and proactively resolve difficult Breakdowns.
+ Ensure that all documentation related to in-house and on-site support activity is completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis. This includes maintenance of electronic files, PM reports, Qualification reports and Service Reports.
+ Interpret customers' needs and take ownership for problem resolution
+ Partner with local, regional and global specialist teams, use digital tools to provide remote resolution and improve the customer experience
+ Proactively resolve difficult repairs by using the Service Escalation process and liaising with APJ and Global Service Specialists.
+ Be a strong and efficient communicator with customers, our support teams and commercial teams
+ Travel throughout a designated service region on short notice to support Thermo Fisher's products
+ Support customers in an on-call and after-hours capacity according to the Thermo Fisher policy and be remunerated accordingly
+ Accurately maintain parts inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical data
+ Ensure that critical metrics are met and achieve Customer Satisfaction objectives
+ Interacts with customers to offer and close the sale of service contracts and other service products.
+ Discuss Life Sciences Service Products with customers and provide leads to Australasia Service Sales Rep as they arise.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree with science or engineering major, or equivalent experience plus strong technical/scientific competence.
+ Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant instrument experience in field service engineering, experience working with Life Science equipment is desirable
+ Proven IT skills, networking understanding and Linux proficiency
+ Candidate must possess excellent people skills to represent the company in a professional manner.
+ Exceptional communication skills as well as analytical and planning skills.
+ Ability to work independently, manage time/priorities, and maintain composure under high levels of demand is vital
+ Ability to adapt and thrive through organizational change and uncertainty.

+ Local daily work requires travel to customer site. Also able to travel up to 25% of the time for interstate and international travel.
