Job Description

The eight-week paid Radio Internship Program is open to individuals from all backgrounds, qualifications, and levels of experience. Whether you have a passion for radio, relevant qualifications or experience, or are looking to explore a new career path, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and gain real-world industry experience. We welcome driven and eager candidates who are excited to learn, grow, and contribute across our various radio departments.

Across the eight weeks, no two days will look the same, giving you a broad hands-on feel for what it’s like to work within our Radio station! One day you might be creating content with our producers and on-air talent across our different programs, attending press conferences for our Newsroom, engaging audiences through posts on our social media platforms or you could learn panel operation for smooth live or pre-recorded broadcasts, managing timing, content, and audio quality. You will truly gain a comprehensive understanding of what it’s like to work within our Radio station. 

Based out of East Perth, the internship program is managed by our Radio Station / Content Manager and you will be buddied up with a mentor for each of your rotations.

Qualifications

You will have: 

• Availability for full time work, for eight weeks commencing Monday, 6th October 2025. You may be required to work across different shifts (day, afternoon, nights, weekends).

• A genuine knowledge and passion for news and current affairs

• You have an interest in pursuing a career within the Radio/Audio space

• Open to the potential of either permanent or casual opportunities post internship

• Are professional in approach and have strong work ethic

• Excellent communication skills

• Are eager to learn and get as much out of the program as possible

• And most importantly, you are a team player that works best in a team based (and fun) environment!

Additional information

Our goal is that we give you the training across the eight -weeks to then be ready post the program to go into a casual or full time position! So if you prove yourself, there will be opportunities after!

What does the role involve?

• Building relationships – you’ll be on the field, meeting with customers on a daily basis to capture the perfect business opportunity. You understand to create value in account(s) through long-term, profitable relationships

• Time and Territory Management (TTM) - creating a daily schedule (including presence on jobsites and client offices) to optimize client potential and sales productivity by zone territory

• Be a Hilti Champion – you’ll carry the technical knowledge to present high level customer consultations in your defined territory and represent the Hilti brand in the marketplace

• Tracking your progress – you’ll utilize Salesforce to record all the interactions you had to make a sale as reporting is a key part of this role

What you need is:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Construction or Architecture is highly desirable

• Previous experience in any customer facing roles

• Eagerness to learn, motivated and capable of working independently

• Hands-on attitude – you'll be demonstrating our tools to our customers, using platforms such as Salesforce to keep track of everything, and collaborate with a variety of departments

• Previous experience in the Construction industry or related industries is advantageous

• Time management, planning and prioritization skills

• Maintain a valid full Australian driver’s license – we'll provide you with a company car, be sure you’re ready to drive

• Internationally or domestically mobile with the desire to develop and outperform

• We will also consider candidates on 485 Temporary Graduate Visas
