**Who will you be working with?**
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Wabtec's team is a recognized industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects. These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
**How will you make a difference?**
As a Senior Signalling Engineer, you will provide high level technical support, leadership and supervision in relation to design, checking and validating signaling systems in accordance with statutory, regulatory, company and client standards. You will be expected to bring your expertise to the team, mentoring junior engineers and guiding them in system design and competency development.
**What will your typical day look like?**
In your role, you will:
+ Prepare schedules for preliminary and detailed designs of signalling systems that comply with statutory and regulatory requirements;
+ Monitor progress and initiate remedial action where required to ensure signalling projects are completed on time and within budget;
+ Supervise preparation of documentation for standards and specifications in relation to signalling systems;
+ Provide high level technical support for all signalling projects as required;
+ Act as independent checker verifying signalling designs and application data prepared by others;
+ Act as a Team Leader to support complex signalling projects
+ Participate in factory acceptance testing and/or site testing of signalling systems and equipment;
+ Participate in the commissioning of signalling systems;
+ Report on signalling projects as required;
**What do we want to know about you?**
**_You must have:_**
+ Degree qualified in Engineering or Equivalent.
+ 10 to 15 years experience working as Signalling Professional in Australia
+ Level 2 Signalling Competency from either MTM/Vline, ARTC or QR
+ RPEV or REPQ or be eligible to achieve this accreditation
_We would love it if you had:_
+ IRSE Accreditation
+ Knowledge of Computer Based Interlocking (CBI) systems
+ Be able to conduct factory acceptance testing and/or principles testing of CBI systems
+ Knowledge of grade crossing predictors and other level crossing technologies
You will also have opportunities to perform other duties outside of your core responsibilities, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

**Description**
**About the role**
Our Transport Planning and Advisory team partners with its clients to provide traffic and transport solutions for the community and we currently seek a Transport Engineer to join our team based in Melbourne. You will be working as part of a dedicated transport team on a range of projects and will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient transport engineering services.
**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Analyse traffic and parking data using Excel and SIDRA Intersection modelling.
+ Prepare traffic and transport impact assessments for a range of private and public projects.
+ Undertake site inspections and gather base information on road environment, traffic and road safety observation, parking inventories and facilities etc.
+ Assess and provide design advice for intersection and parking layouts and site access points.
+ Obtain and assess crash data.
+ Undertake road safety assessments.
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
+ 2-4 years' experience working within a traffic and transport engineering capacity and familiarity with appropriate analytical software packages such as SIDRA.
+ Excellent communication skills to strongly, confidently and succinctly present traffic and transport issues and results of analysis to a wide audience.
+ Experience of working in a consulting environment or for local/ state government in a similar role.
+ A good working knowledge of best practice standards, guidelines, current trends and legislation in order to deliver innovative and practical traffic and transport solutions.
+ A positive mindset that seeks to learn and develop technical skills to become a specialist.

Our team is expanding and due to some significant wins, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with municipal water pipelines, sewer design, trunk main and water reticulation system experience.
You'll be a key member of KBR's Water team who, in a joint venture with John Holland has been delivering Melbourne Water's complex infrastructure projects through major design and construction framework, that will see us supporting Melbourne Water for well over a decade of continuous service.
In addition, the team are delivering major capital projects to South East Water's record $1.5 billion investment as part of a new industry partnership between Abergeldie, BMD & KBR (ABK). The 10-year contract will see ABK plan and deliver major infrastructure upgrades in partnership with South East Water as part of a new integrated capital works planning and delivery model.

Who are you?
You are a design focused Senior Civil Engineer experienced in detailed design, running projects, customer interaction and mentoring juniors.
You will be motivated by achievement, outcome-focused and present professionally to peers, clients, and stakeholders. You will have previous experience designing major projects across water pipelines from 250mm-1000mm diameter, understand or have experience in sewer design, trunk mains and pump stations through various stages of the design lifecycle.
You possess a pragmatic approach to the development of constructable design solutions and have proven commercial acumen in the delivery of water infrastructure.
You will have the following skills and experience:
+ You are a Chartered Engineer (CEng) having delivered various complex detailed design projects
+ You have demonstrated experience in the water infrastructure sector in a consulting environment.
+ Proven ability to work in, and lead, engineering, planning and design modelling teams, work directly with water authority clients, and manage projects to scope, budget and program.
