**About the role**
Our Melbourne-based Transport Delivery team provides civil infrastructure design services across state government, municipal, and private sectors. We're currently seeking an experienced **Civil Drafter** for a **6-month fixed-term role** .
In this role, you'll focus on delivering high-quality drafting for major infrastructure projects. You'll collaborate closely with our Transport design team to plan, execute, and coordinate drafting tasks of varying complexity, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of design documentation to applicable Victorian standards.
**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Supervise production of drawings using standard methods and techniques
+ Complete, review and validate design drawings documentation with a high focus on quality
+ Lead, guide, manage and work alongside a team of drafters and identify opportunities to develop staff
+ Develop plans following standard BIM processes and procedures, including ISO 19650-2 workflows.
+ Ensure drawings comply with design/drafting checklists and are peer reviewed.
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Tertiary qualifications in Drafting or Engineering and/or relevant equivalent work experience
+ Experience in the operation of software design tools including the Bentley suite, including MicroStation (essential) and ProjectWise (desirable) and Autodesk suite, including AutoCAD (essential) and AutoDesk Construction Cloud (desirable)
+ Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
+ Ability to solve problems utilising existing procedures and refine/ develop current CAD Standard procedures and identify efficiencies
+ Strong client focus, high levels of motivation, collaboration and dedication and the ability to work well in a team environment.

+ 10 to 15 years experience working as Signalling Professional in Australia
+ Level 2 Signalling Competency from either MTM/Vline, ARTC or QR

The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Track Engineer to join our high performing Transport team. We are currently delivering a range significant transport infrastructure projects across Australia.
This includes designs and services for Alliances and Panel works including the North Western Program Alliance, MTM Panel Works, More Trains More Service - Transport for Tomorrow Alliance (Long term Alliance) and PTA panel work.

The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Principal Track Engineer to join our high performing Transport team. We are currently delivering a range significant transport infrastructure projects across Australia.
This includes designs and services for Alliances and Panel works including the North Western Program Alliance, MTM Panel Works, More Trains More Service - Transport for Tomorrow Alliance (Long term Alliance) and PTA panel work.
We are also well positioned for further opportunities across national metropolitan and regional rail networks to deliver greenfield route design, duplications, Metros, yards & depots, brownfield rail upgrades and transit space studies, special trackwork designs, track structure advice & analysis and earthworks and track drainage design.
You will work autonomously and provide direction to project staff, bidding teams and interface with multiple disciplines and project leaders. You will develop strong client relationships and work with the bidding team to secure new projects. In this role you will oversee the work of juniors providing guidance and development of graduate engineers. As a Principal you will be required to design manage, check and verify, mentor and coach others along with contributing to bids and tenders.
Who are you?
As an experienced Principal Track Engineer you will have a proven background in major infrastructure projects within the transport infrastructure industry.
As an individual you are excited by the prospects of delivering iconic projects with a key client. You are a strong communicator and respect the importance of working within a team environment to deliver a common outcome. You appreciate innovation and are empowered to think strategically.
You will possess the following skills and experience;
+ Relevant and accredited bachelor's degree in engineering
+ Demonstrated local experience on high value and complex rail infrastructure projects
+ Relevant software experience e.g., MicroStation, BRT/Open Rail proficient
+ Ability to work well within multi-disciplinary teams and alliances
+ You will be a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards this accreditation
+ Obtained Designer and Checker Competencies with the various ARO's including MTM and VLine
