Service Stream’s Maintenance division are currently seeking a Civil Maintenance worker to join our growing company.
About the Role
Civil Maintenance Workers will safety deliver the physical field aspects of planned and reactive maintenance, and minor projects under the direction of Field Supervisors in accordance with quality, time, cost and customer service requirements.
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Happy Valley, South Australia

Key Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
• Undertake reactive and emergency maintenance and associated tasks, ensuring the appropriate use of works management systems and procedures to facilitate optimum efficiency and effectiveness of work delivery
• Undertake planned/preventative maintenance and minor works, ensuring the appropriate use of works management systems and procedures to facilitate optimum efficiency and effectiveness of work delivery
• Provide timely and accurate field and administrative data, including task activity and asset data, timesheet, leave requests etc
Participate in a flexible multidiscipline working environment to meet the needs of operational requirements this may include but not limited to the operational of:
• Jetting truck and equipment
• Jetting ute and equipment
• Hydro Excavation trailer and equipment
• Valve trailer and equipment
• Water maintenance truck and equipment
• Sewer maintenance truck and equipment
• Single man water and sewer response and repair Ute and equipment
• Tipper truck and equipment
• Hydrovac truck and equipment
• Small plant and equipment, such as excavator, bobcat loader, mechanical tools, and equipment
Health, Safety & Environment
• Ensure compliance with legislation and regulations related to health and safety at all times
• Understand and comply with Service Stream's safety/environmental policies and procedures, and promote health, safety and environmental initiatives in the field
• Ensure that HSE risks related to operation and maintenance are considered at all times
• Actively participate in all site OH&S activities and initiatives
About you
This opportunity will suit a highly motivated and outcome driven individual who has a passion for delivering positive client outcomes, and a knack for effective stakeholder engagement
• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Skilled in use of hand power tools / small machinery
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
• Complete background checks; police clearance, medical and references.
• Position/s are permanent; full time; rates dependant on experience.
• Understand and comply with our safety/environmental policies and procedures, and promote health, safety, and environmental initiatives in the field and across the business
• Effective and efficient rectification of water or sewer faults within priority time frames, across multidiscipline operations (emergency & planned works)
• Accurate submission and entering of work data via work order apps and supporting the ongoing development of the Dispatch teams knowledge
• Consistently provide professional and courteous customer service to end users across the Adelaide metropolitan network

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Team Leader with urban, land or subdivision experience to join our Community Development team of engineers, designers and drafters in Hervey Bay. In this role you will manage the civil design and documentation on a variety of urban, land and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors, across an extensive local and regional client portfolio. You will have the opportunity to resolve design constraints, coordinating projects, interfacing with various disciplines and delivering projects with the support of a multi-disciplinary team dispersed across the state.
Stantec's community development team are responsible for the delivery of a variety of projects across numerous disciplines and sectors of all sizes including but not limited to greenfield master planned communities, mixed-use developments, parks, recreation facilities, and streetscapes. We activate urban downtowns, suburban centers, small towns, and rural areas-and the multimodal corridors that connect us to the places we work, live, and thrive.
In this Team Leader role, you will have the opportunity lead technical design, section management and strategic direction of this office. You will represent the company externally to Clients and play a senior and active role in managing these relationships.
You will enjoy a diverse position and will need to have the ability to multitask and share your time between project involvement, business development, group performance, staff management and management responsibilities.
**Day to day tasks would involve:**
+ Design, coordination and project management of urban, land and subdivision projects, from feasibility through to delivery
+ Prepare technical reports and specifications
+ Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects
+ Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets
+ Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
+ Undertake and manage site inspections
+ Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction
+ Mentoring engineers, designers, and drafters to enable them to perform successfully at all levels.
+ Direct line management of a team
+ Maintain existing and develop new, trusted relationships with key clients
+ Assist in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management
**To be successful for this role you'll need:**
+ Bachelor of Civil Engineering
+ Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of projects, ideally within urban, land and subdivisions
+ Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling and construction
+ Project management skills
+ Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing.
+ Relevant registration and professional accreditations
+ Team leadership and mentoring experience
