# Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

# Job Summary:
As Electrical Engineer, you will participate in the design, development, and evaluation of electrical components and processes as well as collaborating and supporting other engineering disciplines for electrical engineering matters.
Your professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard electrical engineering techniques and criteria will enable you to make impactful contributions to the team.
**_This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership_**
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment in making adaptations and modifications
+ Participates in the design, development, modification and evaluation of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
+ Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines
+ Provides technical assistance to other electrical personnel and will interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards
+ Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution
+ Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Knowledge of design, requisitions, systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computer applications within the Electrical engineering discipline.
+ Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods and of precedents in the Electrical discipline and principles and practices of inter-related disciplines.
+ Knowledge of related construction practices and the associated costs
+ Knowledge of application and coordination of 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools on a project.

Amentum is seeking an **Electrical Power Engineer** to support a requirement for a US Government contract in the town of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. This position supports efforts to be performed by Amentum including facilities Construction, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Support Services in an austere and remote location. We are seeking motivated **Senior Electrical Engineering** professionals to join our expanding NSW Water Group to assist on our water infrastructure projects based in our **Brisbane office** . Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages for construction.
**About the role:**
Our Water Group is growing, and we have a terrific opportunity for talented **Senior Electrical Engineers** experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions. In this position you will play an integral role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals that 'design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients in both metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.
We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in Queensland. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region.
**As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will:**
* Perform broad, varied and diverse engineering design tasks on assigned projects under general supervision of the lead or manager, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
* Engage in the development of design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats, and prepare and revise documentation in various electrical phases including layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams, submittal reviews and response to information requests as required.
* Evaluate electrical systems, products, components and applications by researching, analysing, selecting, and applying electrical engineering concepts, approaches, techniques, and criteria.
* Assist project engineers with developing and managing the project scope including cost estimates, budget, staffing and schedule.
* Assist the senior project electrical engineer in preparing the conceptual, preliminary and final design and attends client project requirement meetings.
* Involved in the permit process, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel and governing entities.
* Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
* Apply technical skills and commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly designed, personally reviewed and delivered on time.
* Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments serve as a liaison between senior engineer and design team.
* Lead and personally contribute to the continuous improvement and consistent application of agreed technical design standards and processes within the Section.
* Prepare electrical engineering feasibility studies by analysing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
* Provide independent technical review services for projects as requested by Project Engineers within the Section and for other offices as co-ordinated by the SM.
**To be successful for this role you'll present:**
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* Chartership or working towards is highly regarded.
* Atleast 6 years' experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry.
* Proven electrical design experience in the water and wastewater industry.
* Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks.
* Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (highly desirable but not essential).

# Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

# Job Summary:
As Principal Electrical Engineer, you will support several projects across the mining and metals business, providing technical leadership and guidance on electrical power systems for the greater Electrical Engineering team. You will be responsible to produce deliverables according to best practise, departmental procedures, codes and standards, design guides, appropriate software and administrative practices.
The role will require knowledge large mining and metals operations in industries such as Bauxite, Iron, Copper or battery metals, and / or other heavy industry such as the oil and gas business. Experience with High Voltage reticulation and power systems analysis is essential, with experience in large rotating electrical machines being well regarded.
_This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership._
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Produce and/or supervise electrical calculations, power system studies, protection reports and arc flash analysis per Bechtel and client requirements, utilizing industry standard modelling programs (ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD etc.)
+ Lead the formulation of engineering concepts and design throughout all project phases and present these to project management and the client.
+ Optimize system design to meet production targets such as maximum capacity, operating schedule, availability, and utilization, whilst minimising project CAPEX and OPEX requirements.
+ Provide engineering input to the specification, tender, evaluation and award of complex electrical material and service requisitions.
+ Conduct or lead special or unique studies requiring unconventional or novel approaches or research techniques, using all available guides and precedents and expands and develops where these contain critical gaps.
+ Serve as a consultant to projects providing advice on assignments having unique features.
+ Train and assist the development of other engineers withing the electrical discipline
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a professional license in an appropriate discipline from a recognized licensing board.
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Experience in the execution of Basic/Conceptual Engineering, FEED, and execution of EPCM and EPC mining and minerals projects.
+ Extensive experience in all or most of the following areas:
+ High Voltage system specification and design
+ Low Voltage system specification and design
+ Large rotating synchronous machines
+ Industrial power systems study and analysis
+ Start-up, field engineering or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities or process plants is desirable.
+ Knowledge of systems engineering, calculations, applications, construction methods and materials
+ Good working knowledge of industry and regulatory standards such as MSHA, OSHA, ISO, DIN, AS/NZS, AS, IEC, ANSI etc.
+ Has the capability to develop procedures and design criteria/guides and demonstrated knowledge of computer aided engineering (CAE) tools to perform calculations.

Who are you?
