This is a contingent position based upon contract award
What You'll DoIn the role of Equipment Operator, your duties will include:
+ Receive and Follow Directions: Report to the Foreman or General Foreman to receive daily assignments, instructions, and directions.
+ Operate Equipment: Safely operate designated machinery and equipment, which may include a bus, semi-truck, skid steer, warehouse forklifts, front-end loader, bulldozer, motor grader, K-Loader, scraper, roller, or tractor.
+ Maintain Safety Standards: Strictly adhere to all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
+ Perform Routine Checks: Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly before use.
+ Report Equipment Issues: Promptly report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to ensure equipment is always in good operating condition.
+ Document Operations: Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents to maintain compliance and operational efficiency.
+ Adapt to Various Duties: Be flexible and ready to perform various other duties and activities as directed by the Foreman or General Foreman.
+ Ensure Cleanliness and Order: Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the equipment and the surrounding work area to promote safety and efficiency.
+ Participate in Training: Engage in ongoing training and certifications as required to stay updated on safety protocols and equipment operation standards.
+ Assist in Site Preparation and Cleanup: Help prepare and clean up sites before and after operations to ensure that workspaces are organized and safe.
+ Other duties as required.
Requirements:
+ Must have a US Secret or an Australian NV-1 clearance.
+ Experience in Equipment Operation: Prior experience operating the relevant types of light and/or heavy machinery, typically at least 2-5 years, depending on the complexity of the equipment.
+ Maintenance Knowledge: Understanding of basic maintenance and troubleshooting for the equipment operated.
+ Certified Equipment Operator: Certification for specific equipment (such as forklift, frontend loader, or other heavy machinery) is required.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Required for operating larger vehicles such as buses and semi-trucks, depending on job requirements.
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

# Project Overview:
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 Terajoules per day. Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2. Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
# Job Summary:
In this role, you will support report preparation, forecasts, equipment inventory requirements, and keeping supervisors informed on progress. You will assist with monitoring work quality, equipment requests, entering inspection data and repair orders, and reviewing, validating, and storing data. Your work will contribute to ensuring tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Assists superintendents with the supply for equipment requirements.
+ Assists in monitoring that the quality of work performed meets requirements.
+ Analyses workforce, material, and equipment requirements, and assists in the coordination of the area discipline work plan requirements with others as designated by supervising superintendent .
+ Supports the implementation of policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
+ Supports the preparations of reports, forecasts and inventory requirements for equipment, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
+ Ensures all documentation is complete.
+ Ensures Zero Accident Philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. Equipment Administrator
+ Ensuring accurate data entry of repair work orders into Project Equipment Management Systems (PEMS) as required, hour meter readings as well as entering additional data from incoming/outgoing inspections.
+ Reviews and validates data in Project Equipment Management Systems (PEMS).
+ Scans and stores all necessary information in the database.
+ Generates utilization and other reports for site equipment team.
+ Complete requisitions for repair and maintenance parts requests.
+ Collaborate with BEO team members.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires 2-4 years of related experience.
# Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Demonstrated knowledge of Construction equipment Types of equipment and equipment components.
+ Previously worked in equipment workshop environments.
+ Prior use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
+ Microsoft office suite Excel intermediate to advanced.
+ A flexible team player who enthusiastically collaborates across our teams.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Proactive, independent and takes responsibility for work.
+ Ability to multitask, while being highly organized and juggling multiple work streams.
