The Bridge to Belonging service is a Commonwealth funded program assisting newly-arrived refugee and migrant families and individuals to acquire knowledge, skills, strategies and support networks that support integration and successful settlement into Australian communities. Bridge to Belonging is a partnership between Communicare (Lead) and Centrecare, and provides a range of SETS services to individuals and families in the South East and South West metropolitan regions of Perth, and Mandurah. This support includes casework, supported playgroups, life skills workshops and youth specific development services.
The Role
The Women’s Advocate position strengthens Bridge to Belonging capacity to support migrant and refugee women experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, family and domestic violence through intervention and support, advocacy and information and referral. Through a trauma informed approach, the position works alongside women to empower them to make choices that improve their safety. It also establishes collaborative links to other family and domestic violence programs, including to support more streamlined referral pathways to identified support services.
This is a part-time time position based in Cannington; however, flexibility is required to work across the Perth South East region in an outreach capacity to respond to the diverse needs of the target group.
A Few Specifics
Identify, assess and respond to safety issues as they relate to women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to ensure the safety of women and children.Provide specialist assessment, support plans, telephone intervention, in person support, information and referral for women experiencing, or at risk of experiencing family and domestic violence.Advocate for clients experiencing family and domestic violence based on client-defined goals and with the consent of the client.Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to assist in maximising women, children and family safety.Provide advice and support to Settle In staff to assist in risk assessments, safety planning and information provision.
Selection Criteria
Tertiary qualification in the human services field and/or significant experience in the family and domestic violence sector.Unrestricted drivers’ licence.Satisfactory National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date).Current Working with Children Check card.Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within settlement services and/or with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse target group.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
This role assists in aviation safety management requirements and coordinates the Police Air Wing systems and programs.
SPECIALIST PRE-REQUISITE
It is a requirement that the position holder is successful in obtaining and maintaining a NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 1 security clearance for the duration of their appointment in the position. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to hold and maintain the NEGATIVE VETTING LEVEL 1 security clearance. Any applicants who are currently not an Australian Citizen must be aware that this is an essential requirement to fulfil this position (please refer to the attached position description). Whilst there is nothing to preclude applicants from applying for the position if they have not yet been granted Australian Citizenship, applicants who are successful should be aware that they cannot be appointed unless they are in the process of applying for Australian Citizenship and are eligible to become an Australian Citizen prior to appointment.

Currently we are seeking a Manager - Safety, Quality Risk and Policy to join our team. The successful applicant/s shall be responsible to:
- Lead SMHS Mental Health clinical governance systems and processes. Leads the patient safety, clinical quality and continuous improvement activities. Responsible for planning and directing audit/reviews of SMHS Mental Health clinical activities/systems to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery.
- This position contributes to the development and implementation of strategic and operational planning, policy and service improvement initiatives. This includes the analysis related to the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHS) National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and Clinical Care Standards and the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist (OCP) Standards.

Job DescriptionWe are searching for passionate and highly competent Driver Safety Facilitator/Driver Trainers to deliver low risk driver training workshops and on road driver training for NRMA’s diverse client base. You must have a passion for road safety and making a difference in the community.
What you’ll do
As a Driver Safety Facilitator/Driver Trainer you are responsible for the effective delivery of a variety of road safety programs to our clients on behalf of the NRMA. You will be required to present 3 hour Road Safety Workshops along with a number of on Road Practical programs to a range of licence holders.
You will be provided with training to deliver the road safety content and be responsible for keeping up to date with relevant road safety legislation.
You will report directly to the NRMA Corporate Driver Trainer Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement delivery of NRMA road safety and awareness programs within organisations
Maximise the learning experience by delivering a highly engaging and professionally facilitated workshop and on road training
Strengthen the NRMA brand with key stakeholders by providing a high standard of front-line customer service to learners and the industries they are from
Deliver high quality experience for a diverse range of industries and driver needs
Accurately educate drivers on relevant laws and legislation concerning the topic matter
