As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for prospecting, converting, managing, and planning both MICE and local catering events from initial client contact to departure, including the final settlement of account. This dual role focuses on both sales and event planning to ensure W Brisbane is the hotel events market leader in Brisbane. The role directly drives revenue and increases market share across the segments of rooms, B&F, events, group, FIT, spa, and other revenue-generating sources in line with W Hotels and Marriott International's brand standards.
The successful candidate will have a passion for the hotel and events industry, is eager to build a career with W Hotels and Marriott International, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Sales Responsibilities:
+ Quote rates and availability in line with function space selling guidelines.
+ Lead memorable and tailor-made Insider Tours and Client Entertainment.
+ Respond and acknowledge all incoming enquiries and send a formal proposal within 24 hours.
+ Conduct post-event follow-up calls to prospect for repeat bookings.
+ Prepare and issue event contracts on a timely basis and ensure that contracts and any required deposits are returned by the agreed option dates.
+ Represent the brand in all catering and event sales activities with a strong focus on the local catering market.
+ Promote Marriott Bonvoy and affiliated offers during the proposal process.
Event Planning Responsibilities:
+ Manage the planning of events including full event details, menu selection, and creation of the internal banquet event order and billing charges.
+ Communicate between client and reservations department, assisting with confirming group accommodation requirements.
+ Review all daily beverage & food and conference charges posted to relevant accounts during each event.
+ Monitor group billing accounts for accuracy and coordinate with the Credit Manager for delayed payments.
+ Work closely with Assistant B&F Manager, Assistant Banquet Operations Manager and AV Company to ensure all aspects of the event are executed as per the Banquet Event Orders.
+ Attend weekly BEO Meetings and Group Movement Meetings for key internal stakeholders.
+ Conduct Pre and Post Conference Meetings with event clients as required.
+ Ensure smooth flow of information from Sales/Events to Banquet Services and the Beverage & Food Department.
**ABOUT YOU**
+ Minimum one-two years' experience in a hotel environment or have completed an internship in a business environment.
+ Possess excellent verbal and written communication and Microsoft Office skills, and a high attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational and interpersonal skills and prioritization of tasks.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
+ Strong proficiency with CITY and Opera PMS is desirable

**Responsibilities**
+ Generate new business by creatively expanding existing accounts
+ Proactively own renewals in key accounts
+ Evaluate and prepare business plans for each assigned account. This involves evaluating the customer profile, creating value messaging, and targeting key steps needed to execute the account plans
+ Develop important and effective relationships within the account including Key Executives and translate customer challenges and opportunities into unique business value

+ Channel sales experience

**Position Summary:**
As a member of the APAC Sales team, the Sales Executive will leverage their background in project cost, scheduling and risk management to sell InEight's proprietary software solutions to our valued customers. With a previous background in selling schedule and risk software applications, you will be able to understand and articulate the transformative benefits of using modernised and connected schedule and risk management tools on capital projects and operating assets, from siloed specialists to collaborative team-based planning and risk management. You will develop and execute against sales strategies for our scheduling and risk management solutions to potential clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to enhance their project performance.
Our highly attractive and uncapped commission structure is designed to reward high performance, and you will be provided high levels of autonomy coupled with cross-functional support to deliver quality outcomes.
***InEight promotes a flexible working environment, however the successful candidate will ideally be located within the Eastern time zone.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and execute a clear and actionable sales strategy to promote scheduling and risk management solutions.
+ Identify leads through appropriate channels and qualify leads through direct client engagement, understanding their project needs and challenges.
+ Identify needs and requirements and clarify decision makers and decision processes
+ Monitor pipeline of projects within target customer base and actively pursue opportunities.
+ Demonstrate the capabilities of InEight to prospective clients through the preparation and delivery of tailored sales presentations and proposals, highlighting the importance and urgency of resolving customer pain points through the use of InEight solutions.
+ Provide expert advice on scheduling and risk management best practices.
+ Negotiate and close contracts in conjunction with key internal stakeholders.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
+ Collaborate with the technical team to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.
+ Represent InEight at seminars and networking/industry events to build brand awareness.
+ Manage pipeline activity via detailed data entry and tracking within SalesForce.com.
+ Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in project management tools.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
+ A minimum of 7+ years' experience in sales, preferably in project management solutions.
+ Strong understanding of existing Schedule/Risk solutions such as Primavera P6, MS Project and/or Acumen Fuse.
+ Strong understanding of project scheduling, risk & cost management principles.
+ Prior experience in selling software solutions within a digital transformation environment preferred.
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey complex information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals and groups.
+ Excellent customer focus, strong networking/relationship skills and ability to consistently meet the needs of clients.
+ Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across both client and internal pursuit and support teams.
+ Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Forward-thinking and progressive mindset.
+ Complex problem solving and critical thinking skills.
+ Previous experience with CRM systems (preferably SalesForce.com).

**DESCRIPTION**
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
+ Retain and defend existing customers and prospect and develop new opportunities to grow the Power Generation business across NSW, including both metro and regional areas.
+ Sell low Kva generators and High Horsepower (HHP) projects to maximise sales growth within the state.
+ Prepare and manage PowerGen quotes for NSW customers.
+ Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, end users, and consultant customers throughout NSW.
+ Independently develop and execute account plans to build customer relationships and achieve sales goals within the assigned sales territory, market segment, or channel partners.
+ Work closely with Consultants, Electrical Contractors, and End Users to understand customer needs and priorities and offer appropriate Cummins solutions.
+ Understand the value chain players and sales process required to win Major Projects, utilising your strong account planning and face-to-face meeting skills.
+ Conduct negotiations according to company guidelines, working closely with internal stakeholders including Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Project Management.
+ Demonstrate strong Sales Opportunity Pipeline Management skills to proactively plan for successful execution of sales strategies and to produce accurate Sales Forecasts.
+ Travel throughout metro and regional NSW will be required.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**
+ Very strong Electrical or Mechanical background with a solid understanding of engines and/or electrical systems. Power Generation experience is highly desirable.
+ Previous sales experience in a similar role is preferred.
+ Superior communication skills with the ability to negotiate and develop new business.
+ Experience using CRM is essential. Knowledge of Salesforce will be an advantage.
+ Knowledge of Commercial contracts.
**Compensation and Benefits:**
Annual salary commensurate with experience plus _uncapped_ Sales Commission.
