**What does that look like?**
Australian accredited 4-year engineering degree.
- Detailed exposure to large-scale process/machine control systems (PLC/SCADA) for iron ore handling plants such as car dumpers, stackers, reclaimers and conveyors.
- High familiarity of BHP port asset control systems to effectively lead teams for PLC/SCADA code development, testing and on-site commissioning.
- Interface with other disciplines/3rd parties to develop/review drawings, functional descriptions/specifications, commissioning test plans and related documentation.
- Ability to follow client standards and apply to specific solutions.
- Contribute to project documentation such as execution
- Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, clients, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Provide mentoring to less experienced engineers/designers.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems with attention to detail.
- Participate in bid preparations, tender evaluations and related project activities.
- Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design activities, particularly in relation to functional safety of control systems.

We are seeking an experienced Water Design Engineer to deliver detailed design solutions for water infrastructure projects across multiple mine sites. The role will lead the preparation of designs in accordance with Australian standards, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose outcomes.

**Job Description**
With continued growth across ANZ within Defence Infrastructure, AECOM have created a unique opportunity for an Associate Director level Civil Engineer.
In this role, we will look to you to lead AECOM's Defence market strategy in Western Australia by driving client engagement, growing regional capabilities, and supporting strategic pursuits across Defence design and consulting services.
**How you'll make a difference**
+ Collaborate with industry leaders and technical specialists whilst working as part of a dynamic and consultative team on defence infrastructure projects across Australia.
+ Use your current networks and continue to build key relationships within Defence and partner networks.
+ Contribute to our Defence CAM (Client Account management") strategy, mentor emerging talent, supporting quality and service delivery initiatives (including DSC, DSSC, advisory and environmental).
+ Champion innovation and digital solutions to enhance client value and project outcomes.

+ Civil Engineering Degree or appropriate equivalent.

**Job Description**
Our Transport Team are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer based in Rockhampton. This opportunity presents the chance for an experienced Civil Engineer to work on a wide variety of regionally significant transport and general civil planning and design projects, establishing and building existing client relationships, and leading people. We are looking to speak with Engineers from Principal to Associate Director level with significant experience in Transport Infrastructure.
Please note: Relocation is on offer for the right candidate.
Working as part of a high performing, close-knit regional team that consists of over 30 engineers, scientists and designers, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with industry renowned peers nationally across our organisation to create whole-of-business success.
**What will a day in this role look like:**
+ Lead general civil work including road design and urban precinct planning projects for both government and private sector clientele.
+ Act as Project Manager / Technical Lead on a range of projects, including partaking in business development practices, proposal writing, bidding for civil infrastructure projects.
+ Work closely with a range of engineers across Australia, delivering key transport design services on a variety of transport infrastructure projects.
+ Partake in Team Leader responsibilities across the local Transport Business including managing, training and mentoring junior team members to aid their professional development, financial reporting on projects.
+ Actively partake in business and strategic planning activities for the team, with the wider business effectively collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders.

**What are we looking for from you?**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with RPEQ and ideally 12+ years experience for a consultancy, local Council or State Government Department
+ A future leader with an interest in succession and long-term growth within a global organisation.
+ Extensive design and/or project management experience with State Government or local council civil infrastructure and transport projects
+ Proven knowledge of Australian Standards and a track record of applying your technical knowledge when delivering projects.
+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills when dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
+ Ability to work collaboratively at both an internal and external, client-facing level, developing new client relationships and maintaining existing networks within the business.
