This is a customer facing role which supports a key customer capability primarily based at the customer site in Melbourne CBD.
This role is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of project definition, planning and execution. This includes developing detailed project proposals, plans, managing resources and schedules, and ensuring that deliverables meet contractual and stakeholder requirements.
Key Responsibilities: -
+ Lead and manage multiple concurrent Survey & Quote (S&Q) projects from development through to submission.
+ Coordinate end-to-end project execution, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
+ Engage with customers to gather and clarify project requirements.
+ Collaborate with technical teams to scope, cost, and deliver proposals.
+ Communicate project status, risks, and improvements to stakeholders while driving continuous process enhancement.

+ Extensive experience in project management, ideally in government, defence, aerospace, or IT sectors.
+ Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent qualification.
+ Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects in hybrid Waterfall/Agile environments.
+ Excellent communication skills for reporting, proposal development, and stakeholder engagement.

Under general supervision, this project manager is responsible for all phases of planning and execution of various project acquisition and sustainment activities. They will be required to plans, organise, coordinate and control the project in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to:
+ Apply Project Management expertise in a Defence project supporting a major Defence capability
+ Undertake Project Management Strategy and Analysis to establish future documentation and plans to support the capability
+ Establish and maintain effective integration between the Defence capability project outcomes and other Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and engineering processes
+ Liaise with Defence Prime contractors and their Subcontractors to effectively manage project outcomes
+ Foster and maintain effective working relationships with Defence headquarter elements and other dependent Defence projects
+ - Participate in KBR proposal writing as required
+ Comply with a safe working environment and foster a positive HSE culture among all team members.

Skills and Experience:
+ Related tertiary (Business, Law, Engineering etc.) or project management qualifications (or commensurate professional experience)
+ Experience in a Defence or related technical industry
+ Strong working knowledge of ASDEFCON.
+ Experience in drafting contractual documentation
+ Demonstrated experience in tender evaluation.
+ NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance

**Your New Role and Responsibilities**
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a multi-year Defence program delivering an enterprise Health Knowledge Management (HKM) System to improve clinical decision-making for the ADF.
As Subcontracts Program Manager, you'll ensure supplier performance aligns with contract requirements, quality standards, and program timelines. You'll work closely with the Subcontracts Commercial Manager and Solution Lead to integrate supplier efforts and deliver the HKM System.
