About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal AI Engineer to join our BHP GenAI Agents Hub team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our core GenAI Agents Hub platform, which is at the forefront of agentic orchestration technologies at BHP.
Reporting to the Product Owner of the BHP GenAI Agents Hub, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy cutting-edge GenAI solutions that leverage state-of-the-art techniques such as RAG, Knowledge Graphs, and agentic orchestration frameworks like LangGraph and Strands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and implementation of GenAI agents and solutions using agentic orchestration frameworks like LangGraph and Strands
- Design and build knowledge graphs and RAG models to enhance the capabilities of our GenAI agents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Develop and maintain the core GenAI Agents Hub platform, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, and reusability.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, GenAI and natural language processing
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to the development of best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines for AI systems
About You
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, PhD, Data science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in building and deploying GenAI solutions, with a strong focus on agentic orchestration frameworks, knowledge graphs, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Proficient in Python programming language,
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) techniques and libraries
- Familiarity with knowledge representation and reasoning techniques
- Proficient in data engineering and data processing pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning and multi-agent systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities

* Undertaking options investigations, feasibility studies and reporting on a wide range of complex engineering projects such as water, wastewater, recycled water, resource recovery, biosolids, and odour treatment facilities.
* Leading project delivery and engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment plant projects.

**About you:**
+ Tertiary qualification in Chemical or Process Engineering, with approximately **6 to 10 years relevant professional experience** in the water and wastewater industry. Experience in wastewater treatment process design and modelling would be advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced Principal Security Engineer to join the Security team in Australia. You will be on a team responsible for conducting both pre and post launch testing, offensive campaigns, emergent threat testing, creating/maintaining automated threat emulation solutions, and helping security and service teams add offensive insight to their development, deployment, monitoring, and response processes. This team partners with the larger Security organization and Service teams to continuously validate security throughout the service/system lifecycle.
