The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector Education Sales team is a key partner across all education sectors (K-12, Higher Ed and Research). You will be a part of the AWS team working with academic and technical education stakeholders implementing cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and associated technologies to scale and support stronger education outcomes.
We are looking for a candidate focused on increasing awareness and adoption of AWS in Higher Education and Research. Key job responsibilities
- Increase adoption of AWS cloud services and AI/ML solutions in a defined territory
- Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers
- Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around cloud transformation and AI innovation to customers
- Review sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
- Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement on cloud and AI technologies
- Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of enterprise technology sales or account management experience
Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and customer relationships
Experience selling technology solutions to Higher Education or Research institutions
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Experience with cloud computing technologies and IT infrastructure
Strong understanding of procurement processes in public sector/education
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years selling to Higher Education institutions
Direct experience with state education procurement systems and buying cycles
Previous experience with cloud services sales (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

**Responsibilities**
+ Drive adoption and strategic deployment of Microsoft solutions through effective collaboration with the Enterprise account team and partners to leverage a complete solution from the entire range of services across the Unified, Enhanced Services, Mission Critical Services and Consulting portfolios.
+ Lead the Microsoft Services virtual account team to bring the customer need to life through consultative selling, active listening, and continuous planning to realise Customer success, Microsoft solution subscriptions and Services (Unified & Consulting) revenue.
+ Manage and own the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to deal closure while driving accelerated cloud consumption through sold projects and programmes. Consistently achieve sales targets by Quarter and Full Year.
+ Collaborate as an integrated One Microsoft team across customer and partner networks following established process and methodology guidance.
+ Act as a trusted advisor by applying consultative selling techniques to uncover customer needs, shape strategic opportunities, and unlock new business potential.
+ Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene to support business planning and performance tracking.
**Qualifications**
**Required/minimum qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years industry sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. Finance, Local Government) or related work OR 6+ years industry sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. Finance, Local Government) OR equivalent experience.
+ 2+ years consulting solution sales experience.
**Additional or preferred qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 6+ years industry solution or consulting sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. Financial Services, Local Government) or related work OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years consulting solution sales experience.
+ Experience working across Education would be highly regarded.
The Services Account Executive role is designed for high-impact sellers who can drive AI transformation, cloud growth, and customer success across Strategic and Upper Majors accounts. Recommended experience should include:

+ Comfortable leading executive reviews, sponsor engagement sessions, and governance forums.
**Technology & AI Enablement**
+ Fluent across the customer lifecycle-from initial consultation to solution design, delivery, and optimisation.
+ Able to align services with AI transformation goals and broader technical strategies.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Effective collaborator across sales, technical, and customer success teams.
+ Adept at embedding service insights into planning and execution to maximise customer value.
