The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Sector Education Sales team is a key partner across all education sectors (K-12, Higher Ed and Research). You will be a part of the AWS team working with academic and technical education stakeholders implementing cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and associated technologies to scale and support stronger education outcomes.
We are looking for a candidate focused on increasing awareness and adoption of AWS in Higher Education and Research. Do you have the drive to help further establish Amazon as the main cloud platform provider with institutions looking to develop and implement their 2026/2030 Digital Futures and AI Innovation strategies?
Key job responsibilities
- Increase adoption of AWS cloud services and AI/ML solutions in a defined territory
- Increase revenue across a portfolio of customers
- Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline of opportunities in existing accounts as well as driving net new business
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions around cloud transformation and AI innovation to customers
- Review sales/metrics data from your accounts to help evolve the strategy
- Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement on cloud and AI technologies
- Build, develop and then execute on an account and territory strategy
- Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities
- Assist customers in identifying use cases for adoption of cloud services and AI/ML solutions
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of enterprise technology sales or account management experience
Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and customer relationships
Experience selling technology solutions to Higher Education or Research institutions
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Experience with cloud computing technologies and IT infrastructure
Strong understanding of procurement processes in public sector/education
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years selling to Higher Education institutions
Direct experience with state education procurement systems and buying cycles
Previous experience with cloud services sales (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Understanding of academic research computing requirements and grant funding processes
Experience with student data privacy regulations and security compliance
Knowledge of academic ERP systems and common Higher Ed technology stacks
Strong relationships within the Higher Education technology community
Experience with complex deal negotiations

Once the company moves to TVA ensuring the data bases used within the system are up to date.
+ Organise travel arrangements for HCP's to JJM events. Managing this process in a compliant and Credo manner. Working with the Education manager to keep within the financial requirements of the business unit. Mange the course documentation for each HCP attending an event.
+ Liaise with the education manager and key stakeholder on HCP attendance at events. Confirm with EM & other stakeholders the segmentation requirements and skill level of the HCP for attendance at the event are met and captured.
+ Work with the education manager on the maintenance of the Education solutions for the internal teams on digital formats.

+ Preferred area of study: Project Management, Events or Digital.
