**About the Role**
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high level of professional expertise in maintaining our hotel to our Hyatt Brand Standards.
In this role, you will work alongside other Department Heads with the empowerment to lead a team of maintenance professionals. You will be responsible for protecting the integrity of the hotel building, our plant and equipment through general, routine and preventative maintenance of hotel assets and building compliance. This role leads the Maintenance Team to ensure effective maintenance service to all departments within the hotel.
You will be a Champion for Workplace Health & Safety and a leader in driving the team to meet our EarthCheck benchmarking goals.
**Main Responsibilities**
+ Manage the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure safety and comfort of hotel guests and team members.
+ Working with contractors and managing all hotel projects and upgrades
+ Ensure WHS standards are met and maintained
+ Follow brand standards along with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
+ Management of Departmental budget, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance (daily) and energy conservation
+ Assign, track and follow up on status of work assigned to staff and contractors
+ Help to increase guest and employee satisfaction through effective communication and training
+ Attend to operational requests from Housekeeping and other operational departments to ensure the hotel meets its working order targets
+ Management of all building compliance
+ Management of Preventative Maintenance Program
+ Ensure Room Maintenance Inspection checks are completed and be the champion of Hyatt's Maintenance systems
+ Compilation of periodic reporting in line with Hyatt brand and environmental objectives
**Requirements**
+ Relevant experience in hotel environment.
+ Trade background is highly regarded but not a requirement for the role.
+ Ability to think outside the box & be solutions focused.
+ Flexibility around working days and hours as required by the business.
+ Ability to be on call after hours and attend the hotel outside of hours if needed.
+ High level of both written and verbal communication.
+ Ability to work within timelines and deadlines as communicated by the Operations team.

+ Liaison with departmental leaders and other program staff to ensure all systems / sub-systems are appropriately monitored and supported, with necessary changes defined and/or developed to meet user requirements;

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**

The Role

- Lightsource bp's Commercial Engineering Team provides technical support across all areas of the global organisation and for projects being developed across the globe.

- Coordinate and manage Technical Advisors (OE, LTA, etc) locally and internationally.
- Review OEM, EPC, ICP and O&M Contractor bids, reports, orders, etc for compliance with Principal's Requirements and Contract appendices.
- Lead the technical negotiations with OEMs and EPC, ICP and O&M Contractors.
- Undertake site visits to both new greenfield sites and sites under construction.
- Support on engineering analysis of performance, availability, curtailment and evaluation of new technologies as required.
**Who we're looking for**
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies and constituent components (PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, trackers, switchgear, transformers etc).
- Strong knowledge of BESS technologies and constituent components (cells, racks, inverters, BMS, EMS etc).
- Strong knowledge of OEM, EPC, ICP and O&M contracts, including Technical Appendices.
- Strong knowledge of Hybrid generating systems including control theory, energy modelling and Integrated Resource Provider classifications as defined by AEMO and the NER in Australia.
- Good understanding of PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements and technical inputs to Financial Models.
- Good experience in undertaking Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) and detailed knowledge of pertinent factors affecting solar farm performance.
- Good knowledge of solar energy resource assessment methodologies and of simulation software including PVSYST or similar (AutoCAD, ArcGIS or other Wind or Battery (BESS) modelling software is a plus).
- Good knowledge of the main players in the industry (OEMs, Technical Advisors, investors, EPCs, NSPs, etc).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Masters in Renewable Energy or related field.
Experience
- 7+ years of experience in the Renewable Energy industry, in both Solar PV and BESS sectors.
- Experience in undertaking Energy Yield Assessment (EYA) and good knowledge of pertinent factors affecting PV and BESS plant performance.
- Experience with large-scale Solar PV, BESS and Hybrid projects in the region, working either on the Developer, EPC Contractor, or Technical Advisor side.
- Experience/expertise in HV substation and Wind technologies is a strong plus.

**What You'll do**
The candidate will be responsible for most technical aspects related to the MV/HV electrical engineering side of the PV power plants, from project development to design, construction and operation, in compliance with the following main responsibilities:
- Preparation of Technical design tender reports (HV/LV up to 500kV)
- Preparation of HV Substation primary equipment design deliverables, feasibility studies, reports, programmes and cost estimating
- Working knowledge of Transmission and distribution system including equipment sizing, protect system (preferrable )
- Review the HV plant aspects of different projects including HV layouts, earthing design and reports, mechanical interlocking, HV busbar calculations and technical specification for the HV plant equipment.

- Support the contractual negotiation with EPC regarding technical areas such as HV electrical engineering, equipment specifications, testing,
- HV/MV substations, switchgears, cables, protection equipment and other MV/HV equipment.
- Support FEED team (Front End Engineering Design) to explore possibility of solar applications in New Markets (Example in Hydrogen market, off-grid applications, Battery, reactive mode applications et to develop solutions for connecting hybrid/storage generator or complex connections and incorporate them into the Grid)
- Understand and apply power systems knowledge to network level load/generation/reactive power / short circuit level curtailments. Able assess risks on HV connections, projects execution and advise engineering teams for solutions.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Project Development and Grid managers for developing new capacities (example Analyzing heat maps, interpreting TNSP/AEMO statements in current affairs, yearly statements etc.)

- Experience working as a design engineer/manager for a consultancy, TNSP in EHV systems or HV/LV systems will be given high weightage
- Working knowledge of MV/HV equipment including switchgear, transformers, protections, underground/OH lines and other MV/HV equipment.
- Extensive in field experience of MV/HV deployment and associated good practice installation of such equipment
- Familiarity with commissioning tests for renewable installations.
- Experience in power systems for renewable installations, including HV substations and control.
- Familiarity with PV industry and PV systems including inverters, transformers, cabling.
- Familiarity with electrical protections calculations and earthing design for MV and HV systems

# Project Overview:
Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.
Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.
The Project is a greenfield mining, process, material handling and ship loading project with a focus on sustaining production, minimise environmental impacts, strengthen long-term relationships with neighbouring communities and foster local economic development.
# Job Summary:
In this role, you will report to the Site Manager and provide field engineering management and leadership for work planning and packaging, material management, quantity validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and coordination of system turnover and subcontracts.
Your oversight will ensure that all field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements.
You will support the proposal for the Mining and Metal project with the intention of mobilising to the field upon award.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ As the Project Field Engineer, you coordinate all field engineering activities.
+ Responsible for supervising Field Engineering, Document Control, Survey, IT and others as delegated by the Site Manager on project.
+ Proactively engages with your teams' development through competency development/assessment and feedback
+ Execute activities assigned by the Site Manager.
+ Leads the Field Engineering team in a broad range of construction engineering work within a specific engineering discipline.
+ Manages the coordination with design on constructability issues.
+ Reviews material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.
+ Possesses responsibility for all field quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting on the project.
+ Approves and/or delegates the approval for all Field Material Requisitions pertaining to permanent plant.
+ Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.
+ Overall responsibility for coordinating between Construction and Startup to ensure the various system walkdowns are performed, interfacing with the Project Startup Manager as required to support component/system turnover and assuming responsibility (or as delegated) for area turnover coordination.
+ Reviews and approves inspection test plans, the generation of subcontract scopes of work, and payment milestones to subcontractors and vendors.
+ Manages/coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals by the field engineering team.
+ Coordinate and collaborate with the Project Field Superintendent ensuring the field engineering team is supporting the project superintendents.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Previous experience in leading teams of Field Engineers, either as a Lead Discipline Field Engineer, Area Field Engineer, Project Field Engineer or equivalent.
+ 10+ years of Field Engineering experience in process plant.
+ Preference given to candidates with multi-discipline experience (i.e. CSA, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc).
+ Previous experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP).
+ Familiarity and working knowledge of the Bechtel suite of Applications (i.e. TeamWorks, SetRoute, Aconex, SP3D/Navisworks etc.)

In this role, you will report to the Program Construction Manager, and you will provide oversight of all field engineering activities in the program, which comprises multiple projects and associated systems technologies.
You will provide assurance that field engineering activities are undertaken safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and the capital portfolio management team's performance expectations.
