**About you**
We are looking for a **Financial Analyst** to be based in our Sydney CBD office **.** This permanent role reports to the FP&A Manager.
You will play a key role in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
**Your Key Responsibilities are**
1) Budgeting and Forecasting
+ Develop annual budgets in collaboration with business units.
+ Prepare periodic forecasts to reflect updated expectations.
+ Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets.
2) Financial Reporting and Analysis
+ Prepare management reports - Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly results including variance analysis versus plan and forecast risks and opportunities

3) Business Partnering
+ Help departments understand their cost structures and financial performance.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the key business partner working directly AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations.
- Drive cost savings by identifying opportunities and benchmarking across vendors and locales.
- Work across teams on cost savings projects, automation and improvement initiatives with finance, construction, IT and design.
- Conduct regular face to face and virtual meetings in the Asia-Pacific region to support business partners and drive further efficiencies.
- Manage the financial planning and analysis effort and forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities.

**Team/Function Overview**
The Australia Lead for Financial Reporting is a senior management level position reporting directly to the Global Head of Financial Reporting with a matrix reporting line to local management.
The Financial Reporting team is part of Fund Services Operations.
The team is responsible for the production of financial statements, tax and regulatory reporting and all associated workings for investment and superannuation fund clients domiciled in Australia.
The current headcount is approximately 30 onshore in Australia with an equal number in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the offshore partner. The team is predicted to grow in the coming years as we take on new clients and our existing clients expand.
