The role of the Accountant within the Australia New Zealand Controllership Group requires the individual to support financial accounting in partnership with the Controllers, Local, Regional and Global Finance and Tax teams.
Role Overview:
This role requires an individual for:
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for ANZ entities and APAC subsidiaries.
- Prepare, process and review manual AR invoices.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all month end revenue recognition including intercompany service fees calculation.
- Reconcile monthly balance sheets accounts and upload in Blackline.
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Provide valuable insights with variance analysis and commentary on P&L and balance sheets to support decision making.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards and company policies.
- Coordination of information to auditors and responses to auditor queries.
- Collaborate with the wider finance team and other departments (FP&A, Tax and regional teams) to ensure the smooth running of financial operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
- Assisting in the preparation of process documentation and approvals by management and other stakeholders.
- Any related accounting ad hoc duties.
All About You:
- Degree in Accounting or equivalent, preferably with a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CA, CPA).
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar financial accounting role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS) and general accounting principles.
- Basic working knowledge of Aus and NZ GST, FBT and tax
- Proficient PC skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP. Experience of working with Oracle and SAP a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate financial information effectively.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple, concurrent tasks.

**Your role at Dynatrace**
As the Accountant (APAC) based in Sydney, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting for APAC entities, ensuring compliance with both US GAAP and local GAAPs. You will play a key role in the month-end close, audit coordination, financial statement preparation and tax compliance, while driving process improvements and collaborating across functions.

**The Job Profile**

You will be an integral part of the Simon & Schuster Australia Finance team, reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance and supporting the Financial Accountants. The primary focus of this role is to manage the day to day Accounts Payable function, month end tasks and reporting.
**The Role**
The Junior Accountant is responsible for the end-to-end processing of invoices and expenses, which includes verifying authorization, accurate coding of creditor numbers and General Ledger accounts, and subsequent transmission for processing. The role also involves addressing creditor and staff queries related to payments, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Key responsibilities extend to maintaining the reconciliation of plant costs and managing all aspects of subrights, including communication with international publishers, diligent payment chasing, and accurate allocation of cash receipts. The Junior Accountant will also provide essential support to our distribution clients through monthly reporting, account reconciliation, invoice verification, and the calculation of recharges.
**The Candidate Profile:**
The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree and demonstrable knowledge of the AP function. Previous experience in an AP and in the media sector, whether in industry or audit capacity, is desirable. You will have exceptional organisational and communication skills together with solid knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, strong intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience working with accountancy software.
You will be a proactive team player, self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills as well as have good analytical skills and the ability to use judgement. Connect2Care is a registered NDIS health provider, providing a range of community-based, allied health services to people of all ages and of all abilities across Australia. Services are delivered through multiple service delivery models (including telehealth, community visits, and office-based services), and referrals may come through the NDIS, Medicare or privately. Position Purpose 

To provide accurate and timely accounting, analysis and ongoing reporting to the Operations Manager and CEO.  

The role involves staff management and a requirement to review and develop procedures and controls within the Accounts Team. There is an opportunity for growth within the Company. 

Main Tasks  

Be responsible for developing and maintaining internal controls Fortnightly and monthly payroll processing Workcover obligations Processing annual leave and other staff leave Oversees employee entitlements and leave liabilities Oversees overdue debtors Reconciling invoices, and receipts in Xero Superannuation and PAYG quarterly processing Assisting with HR records management Liaising with external company accountants Managing accounts payable including processing of invoices due for payment Overseas accounts receivable Understand and work within the NDIS, expectations of being a provider and complying with the NDIS Code of Conduct (training on the job) Have an understanding of the NDIS and the expectations of being a registered provider Understating and adhering to Connect2Care's policies and procedures Working with our clinical software and clinical staff Working with Microsoft Office 365 and other Connect2Care software  Generating Financial Reports and interpret them to direct company decision Operate within the senior leadership team and direct Company decision Manage and supervise the accounts team personnel  Understating and adhering to Connect2Care's policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications  

CPA/CA Qualifications preferred  5 years plus experience as a Senior Accountant with a Health/NDIS Company  NDIS Worker Orientation Module Connect2Care Induction

Police Check and International Police Check (only applicable to individuals who have lived overseas)

Responsibilities:
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
+ Prepare damages assessments, valuations, analyse technical accounting issues, prepare economic analyses and conduct financial investigations.
+ Prepare complex financial models in Microsoft Excel, including DCF analyses.
+ Draft high-quality experts' reports and other deliverables.
+ Work directly with some of Australia's best litigators and expert witnesses.
+ Develop relationships, both internally and externally.
+ Start the journey toward potentially becoming an expert witness yourself.
Requirements:
We're looking for someone who:
+ Is a newly promoted Manager, an Assistant Manager/Supervisor, or a very experienced Senior Consultant/Senior Analyst at a well-regarded professional services firm, preferably in a forensic or disputes practice. You might also be the right fit if you currently work in valuations, or transaction services, or have taken time out from professional services to try a corporate role and are now looking to return.
+ Has completed their post-graduate qualification (CA preferred) or is on track to do so in the next 12 months.
+ Has strong analytical skills with experience in building financial models.
+ Has a flexible approach to problem-solving, capable of identifying and applying legal and financial principles across a range of contexts, and can critical thinking and good judgement.
+ Has strong report writing and communication skills, including an ability to communicate clearly, crisply and concisely in a manner tailored for the audience.
+ Can work autonomously and is able to effectively manage competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
