**About the role**
You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen environment and assisting in receiving and storing deliveries.
**Critical responsibilities:**
+ Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor.
+ Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
+ Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
+ Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas. Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes.
+ Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing.
+ Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue. Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.
+ Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area.
+ Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments.
+ Dispose of glass in the proper containers.
+ Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.

Job Description
The secret ingredient in every single dish served in our restaurants is a pinch of hard work behind the scenes. We're looking for a Kitchen Steward to help our chefs make every dish memorable by setting and maintaining exceptional standards in our kitchens.
**A little taste of your day-to-day**
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
+ Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment.
+ Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
+ Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen
+ Supporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing
+ Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes
**What we need from you**
+ Passion for delivering great service.
+ Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, or Prep Chef
+ Experience working in a busy kitchen environment and working to deadlines.
+ Willingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team.

br>Duties:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including managing ledgers, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements
- Ensure compliance with taxation laws and complete tax returns on behalf of the business
- Monitor cash flow and provide forecasts to inform decision-making and financial planning
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, including reviewing financial performance and cost analysis
- Manage payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
- Conduct regular financial audits and ensure all financial transactions adhere to company policies and accounting standards
- Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies as required
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business strategy and performance improvements
Requirements:
- AQF Associate Degree, a bachelor degree or higher qualification
- At least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for these formal qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting role, ideally within the hospitality industry < r>- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial data
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication skills
