Title:
Senior Civil Engineer
We support water customers across Australia to provide our communities with the best drinking water and wastewater treatment services, whilst innovating ways to safeguard and secure our country's water supplies, elevating public spaces and enhancing livability.
Our team is expanding and due to some significant wins, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with municipal water pipelines, sewer design, trunk main and water reticulation system experience.
You'll be a key member of KBR's Water team who, in a joint venture with John Holland has been delivering Melbourne Water's complex infrastructure projects through major design and construction framework, that will see us supporting Melbourne Water for well over a decade of continuous service.
In addition, the team are delivering major capital projects to South East Water's record $1.5 billion investment as part of a new industry partnership between Abergeldie, BMD & KBR (ABK). The 10-year contract will see ABK plan and deliver major infrastructure upgrades in partnership with South East Water as part of a new integrated capital works planning and delivery model.

Who are you?
You are a design focused Senior Civil Engineer experienced in detailed design, running projects, customer interaction and mentoring juniors.
You will be motivated by achievement, outcome-focused and present professionally to peers, clients, and stakeholders. You will have previous experience designing major projects across water pipelines from 250mm-1000mm diameter, understand or have experience in sewer design, trunk mains and pump stations through various stages of the design lifecycle.
You possess a pragmatic approach to the development of constructable design solutions and have proven commercial acumen in the delivery of water infrastructure.
You will have the following skills and experience:
+ You are a Chartered Engineer (CEng) having delivered various complex detailed design projects
+ You have demonstrated experience in the water infrastructure sector in a consulting environment.
+ Proven ability to work in, and lead, engineering, planning and design modelling teams, work directly with water authority clients, and manage projects to scope, budget and program.

**Job Description**
AECOM's dynamic Water group in Melbourne is growing and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior or Principal level Civil Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team.
The Water Infrastructure group provides services to a range of internal and external clients on projects covering water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, and defence sectors, with a key focus on supporting sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.
By joining our team, you will have access to mentoring and guidance from our industry leading experts. You will also have the opportunity to support a variety of major projects locally in Victoria as well as interstate and in New Zealand.
**How you'll make a difference:**
+ You will have the opportunity to get involved in coordinating, managing and completing projects from inception, including involvement in the bidding phase, concept design, detailed design, tendering, and construction phase support.
+ Ensure all quality assurance processes are followed, delivering on time and within budget for projects in planning, design and/or construction support.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships working with various clients across a range of sectors.
+ Provide mentorship and coaching to our emerging professionals, contributing to the growth of our talent pipeline.
**Qualifications**

+ A relevant tertiary degree, CPEng & RPEV (or working towards).

+ Proven experience delivering work within a consultancy environment and working across multidisciplinary stakeholder groups.

**Job Description**
Our Transport Team are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer based in Rockhampton. This opportunity presents the chance for an experienced Civil Engineer to work on a wide variety of regionally significant transport and general civil planning and design projects, establishing and building existing client relationships, and leading people. We are looking to speak with Engineers from Principal to Associate Director level with significant experience in Transport Infrastructure.

Working as part of a high performing, close-knit regional team that consists of over 30 engineers, scientists and designers, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with industry renowned peers nationally across our organisation to create whole-of-business success.
**What will a day in this role look like:**
+ Lead general civil work including road design and urban precinct planning projects for both government and private sector clientele.
+ Act as Project Manager / Technical Lead on a range of projects, including partaking in business development practices, proposal writing, bidding for civil infrastructure projects.
+ Work closely with a range of engineers across Australia, delivering key transport design services on a variety of transport infrastructure projects.
+ Partake in Team Leader responsibilities across the local Transport Business including managing, training and mentoring junior team members to aid their professional development, financial reporting on projects.
+ Actively partake in business and strategic planning activities for the team, with the wider business effectively collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders.

**What are we looking for from you?**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with RPEQ and ideally 12+ years experience for a consultancy, local Council or State Government Department
+ A future leader with an interest in succession and long-term growth within a global organisation.
+ Extensive design and/or project management experience with State Government or local council civil infrastructure and transport projects
+ Proven knowledge of Australian Standards and a track record of applying your technical knowledge when delivering projects.
+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills when dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
+ Ability to work collaboratively at both an internal and external, client-facing level, developing new client relationships and maintaining existing networks within the business.
