**How You'll Shine**
As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service and cleanliness is maintained at all times.
+ Clean hotel rooms to include sleeping quarters, kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms while maintaining housekeeping detail standards
+ Delegate workload to ensure rooms are refreshed in a timely manner
+ Control stock and report discrepancies to the Executive Housekeeper
+ Quality check rooms and liaise with Front Office to release for occupancy
+ Plan and implement weekly rosters in consultation with Housekeeping Manager
+ Observe precautions required to protect resort guests and guest property.
+ Respond appropriately to guest enquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction, handle guest issues to resolution in effort to improve the guest experience and escalate any outstanding guest inquiry or concern to management.

Your day-to-day
+ Inspect all assigned suites/rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed  
+ Meet daily productivity standards as determined by housekeeping management; and monitor colleagues for productivity
+ Review and update all housekeeping and other required records daily
+ Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.  
+ Lead by example; routinely perform all housekeeping duties necessary including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure guest satisfaction.
+ Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments
+ Ensure all staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties
+ Assist with deep cleaning projects and as a housekeeping attendant during high volume periods 
+ Ensure team members are trained and in compliance with brand standards, service behaviours and government regulations

As our Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll play a key role in the successful opening and continuing daily operations of our brand-new hotel. Here's a snapshot of your day-to-day:
+ Support the Housekeeping Manager in setting up systems, processes, and training programs during the pre-opening phase.
+ Coach, train, and mentor colleagues to deliver exceptional service.

About our facility


Uniting Salamander Bay is situated in beautifully landscaped gardens and moments from the sparking waters of Salamander Bay.


Household Living – our innovative approach to care – empowers our residents to live their day, their way, just as you would in any family home.


There are 3 separate households, each with up to 20 residents, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.



What you’ll be doing in this role



Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? At Uniting, we are searching for compassionate individuals to join our team and provide exceptional hotel services support to residents in our aged care home. You’ll help foster independence, dignity, and comfort through services like cleaning and laundry, enhancing the daily lives of those in our care.



What We’re Looking For


  • Ideally, you have a Certificate II in Hospitality or an equivalent qualification. No qualification yet? Don’t worry – we’ll support you in getting there!
  • Previous experience in similar roles (catering, kitchenhand, or cleaning) or in community care is a plus.
  • You’re empathetic, adaptable, resourceful, and align with Uniting’s core values of compassion, respect, boldness, and creativity.

**WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?**

Working as an integral part of our Hotel Services Team, you are encouraged to bring your unique personality and perspective (your X factor). Reporting through to the Manager on Duty, this role is **Part Time** requiring the flexibility to work a rotating roster (including weekends) for a minimum of **8** hours per week.
**WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE!**
We're seeking individuals who have a passion for the hotel industry and/or experience in luxury service or similar high-level customer-focused industries. Demonstrated capability of forging strong relationships, a service-oriented mindset, resilience and flexibility are key. Familiarity with Opera or other Hotel PMS is a bonus. Knowledge of the local area to provide guest recommendations is highly valued. If you hold an open or manual **driver's license** and an **RSA** , you're jumping straight to the top of the list!
