Key Responsibilities:
You will have the proven ability to lead and coordinate service strategies in functional areas that include:
- Maintain competence to practice in accordance with national competency standards for the Nurse Practitioner as directed by the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Ensure integration and collaboration across Uniting programs to deliver seamless and impactful end-to-end services with the consumers at the centre
- Develop and promote positive relations with patients, nursing peers, medical practitioners, allied health, and community.
- Ensure nursing compliance with federal/state legislation, nursing competency standards, practice policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to staff and patient safety systems that meet contemporary clinical standards and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
- Consumer case management within own scope of practice.
- Provide management of long-term conditions / chronic disease management in line with national guidelines and pathways.
- Assess and manage various wounds, coordinating with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Oversee monitoring of psychotropic medications; adopting an evidence based best practice approach to minimising restrictive practice /chemical restraint for Consumers of Aged Care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner (or working towards endorsement)
- Eligible for Medicare and PBS provider numbers
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Minimum 5 years’ advanced clinical nursing experience with proven expertise in assessment, diagnostics, and chronic disease management
- Demonstrated leadership skills, mentoring capability, and experience driving quality improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Computer literacy with clinical systems and MS Office

- Permanent Nurse Practitioners
- $60/hr to $120/hr inclusive of super
- Work between both the Sydney CBD and Parramatta Clinics
- 3 to 4 days interstate travel to ACT and Melbourne
Patient needs are at the heart of this organisation and they strive to provide the care and best treatment methods available to ensure positive outcomes. They provide patients with simple, walk in-walk out treatment solutions for Varicose Veins.
The Role:
Your role as Nurse Practitioner will be to manage follow up consultations and treatment of patients. The process starts with the doctor performing laser ablation and follow ups with the nurse practitioner performing ultrasound guided sclerotherapy with the support of a sonographer. This role is perfect for you if you have a surgical or theatre/day surgery background.
- Post Laser ablation clinical follow up
- Perform sclerotherapy as needed
- Ability to work with a sonographer to identify residual veins and assess suitability for foam or surface injection sclerotherapy
- Perform foam or surface sclerotherapy
- Travel expenses, travel allowance and accommodation will be provided.
- AHPRA Registration as a Nurse Practitioner
- Have your own Indemnity Insurance
- A minimum of 12 months Nurse Practitioner experience
- Solid experience in Surgical/Theatre/Day Surgery or similar
- Experience with ultrasound guided procedures
