The ANZ Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for Services will lead a team of EHS professionals across Australia and collaborate with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to provide expert technical EHS support and oversight.

**Key Responsibilities**
+ Manages and coordinates a broad spectrum of activities simultaneously.
+ Lead, coach, and mentor a team of EHS resources.
+ Provide oversight and governance to ensure EHS compliance with applicable management systems, programs legislation and standards for services within their portfolio.
+ Serves as an EHS expert for applicable regulatory and industry standard requirements for services activities within their portfolio.
+ Ensure that their portfolio EHS performance is correctly being reflected in the relevant KPIs, partnering with the key stakeholders to develop action plans to address deviation versus expectations.
+ Able to proactively partner and develop positive working relationships with customers, external agencies and contractors as well as internal cross-functional personnel.
+ Provide oversight and governance to ensure EHS compliance with applicable management systems, programs legislation and standards for projects within their portfolio.
+ Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives and drive accountability across the portfolio.
+ Ensure compliance and coordinate with the Cross functional team to ensure the implementation of both GEV and legislative EHS expected programs and training requirements.
+ Support ITO/OTR and handover or response to customer queries for projects within their portfolio.
+ Act as a People leader, having GE direct report as well as EHS Contingent workers as per business need.
+ Supports all other demands as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification
+ Relevant EHS experience in a professional EHS role overseeing the execution of EHS in projects or services environment
+ Significant experience and demonstrated achievements with safety programs, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
+ Certified Environmental or Health and Safety professional
+ Medical fitness and ability to work at height per local and global standards
+ Able to coach and support key influencers to drive EHS compliance and the reduction of risk through team engagement and help develop an organizational culture that prioritizes EHS.
+ Knowledge of EHS management systems
+ Fluent English (verbally & in writing)

You will:

This position is responsible for assisting surgeons with technical support in the operating theatre when implanting a Sacral Neuromodulator and providing ongoing care for patients who have received therapy pre- and post-procedure. The Clinical Specialist will work closely with the Territory Managers, in the Victoria region, to organize case support, provide customer service and support, and practice professional and effective administration, inventory management and expense planning and control.

+ Work with the Territory Managers to understand the clinical and service needs of specific customers and provide the highest level of clinical service and technical support

+ Retrieve all expiring products from field locations and return them to the warehouse before expiry

**Required Knowledge and Experience:**

+ Advanced understanding of internal workings of hospital labs/theatres/departments e.g. purchasing, consignment, clinics, patient & implant scheduling and key influencers
+ Computer literacy including sound knowledge of the MS Office suite of software.

Our Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management portfolio has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Specialist to be based in Melbourne and report to the Service Innovation Manager.
**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:**
+ Partnering with sales colleagues to develop and execute account sales strategies for the business unit
+ Providing the best possible outcomes and service for Medtronic customers by supporting field teams with technical in-services and presentations to customers
+ Conducting on-site education and / or consulting
+ Assisting Territory Managers in providing after-hours on-call support
+ Support sales & marketing programs with specific complimentary activities as provided by the Marketing team
+ Participating in conventions, forums, and meetings to increase product awareness
+ Working closely with Clinical Lead, Clinical Management and Regional Sales team to provide customer case and sales support
+ Gather market intelligence on customer and competitor activity and communicate to Territory Managers and Divisional Staff.
+ Identifying and facilitating execution on growth opportunities with Sales and Clinical Support Team.
+ Monitor field inventory effectively and ensure appropriate levels relative to demand in locations.
+ Support clinical study activities in conjunction with Territory Manager and the Clinical Research team
**Required Knowledge and Experience:**
+ High School Diploma with minimum of 6 years relevant experience OR Associate Diploma with minimum of 4 years relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 2 years relevant experience
+ Demonstrated understanding of the function and purpose of pacing products in order to operate
+ as a technical support expert with experience in pacing, clinical or medical device industry setting.
+ Required to travel up to 25%, valid driver's licence required

**Job Description**
**Key Responsibilities**
Support EHS Manager ANZ in building and delivering EHS activities across ANZ:
+ Assist in the update and delivery of the Safety Management System focusing on:
+ Update the A&NZ Chemical management program.
+ Update safety risk assessments (SRAs) and assignment of relevant SRAs to employees.
+ Maintain and update applicable registers ie EHS licenses and permits.
+ Assist in the design of workflows for LOTO and Electrical safety practical assessments.
+ Assist with updating the business risk reduction program priorities.
+ Monitor delivery of facility EHS requirements
+ Support element owners to build evidence to comply with safety management system.
+ Own and deliver on appropriate Elements of the FrameWork (EHS Management System)
+ Lead and deliver New Employee Orientation sessions, tools and resources
+ Support People Leaders and their employees on health and safety programs, risk assessment, Accident/Incident reporting, LOTO, etc.
+ Support in driving the EHS KPI compliance and achievement.
+ Complete safety Gemba walks (2 per month), conduct general hazard inspections, Strength of Defense Matrix (SoDM) and site audits with key stakeholders to drive improvements on a regular basis.
+ Contribute data and information to enable accurate and timely EHS performance reports.
+ Draft Safety Alerts and workplace EHS briefings.
+ Assist in preparing for compliance audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule and provide support during third party external audits.
+ Manage the return-to-work process and associated documentation including:
+ Coordinating the submission of Workers Compensation claims ensuring completion of all required documentation is accurately completed and submitted within designated timeframe
+ Consult with Human Resources on employee relations matters as needed.
+ Assist in reviewing and updating procedures to align local documents with global policies and standards.
+ Support operations to ensure all EHS training in the Learning Management System (LMS) is allocated correctly, and support reporting and compliance
+ Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with company standards and procedures and other compliance obligations to ensure the safety of our people, the community, and the environment.
+ Conduct investigations into EHS Events, hazards and concerns and develop corrective action reports and learning documentation; and liaise with Human Resources as needed for any necessary follow-up actions
+ Support Management of Change Process where appropriate
+ Manage and support EHS committee needs
+ Drive Innovation in EHS through programs and engagements
Quality Specific Goals
+ Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
+ Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
+ Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Qualifications and Experience
+ Formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety
+ Knowledge of A&NZ Work Health & Safety Legislation codes and standards and the ability to interpret and apply.
+ Previous experience working in high-risk industry environment with office based and field teams.
+ Possess a current driver's licence.
Desired Characteristics
+ Proven experience in a WHS and RTW role.
+ Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, relevant Codes of Practice and ISO 45001 WHS Management Systems
+ Demonstrated ability to supporting and deliver WHS initiatives including leading WHS projects
+ Experience in data extraction and analysis is highly regarded
+ Familiarity with Contractor Worker Safety Management processes
