Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Physical Security is seeking a highly talented and motivated Security Program Manager to join our team. AWS is the leading cloud provider, providing virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and many other services to customers all over the world. The role is responsible for overseeing physical security design and the installation of security features and systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Camera Surveillance, Passive and Active Barriers, and other security features and capabilities consistent with AWS security standards and public sector contract requirements. This role will perform security program management in support of new data centers, support facilities, data center expansions, and special security programs and projects.
You will be an individual contributor on a three-builder team and will work directly with the Cluster Security Managers (CSMs), the Data Center Engineering Operations Team, and other customers, both internal and external, to integrate business and operations requirements into long-term physical security design and implementation. You will work with limited guidance to support the design and deployment of physical security packages and security program enhancements for AWS data centers and supporting facilities. Additionally, you will work across multiple teams and serve as the subject matter expert to author security design, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), security installation and sustainment contracts, and other security documents for submittals. You will lead projects and develop short-term solutions in the physical security program. You may influence and manage vendor contracts to ensure industry leading systems are deployed and sustained.
The ideal candidate for the role has a deep understanding of Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) physical security requirements and leverages that expertise to make the right decisions for physical security projects and site sustainment. The candidate will handle a difficult security problems and compliance program elements clearing blockers and escalating appropriately when unable to clear the blocker. The candidate will be comfortable identifying risks and asking the right question to the appropriate team to identify tradeoffs and suggesting recommendations and solutions. Additionally, the candidate will work across multiple teams within an Amazon Security organization to influence both internal and external customers, system owners, and business leaders. Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with physical security design and/or implementation of electronic security systems such as Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System, and CCTV Surveillance systems. Familiarity with security in depth strategies.

This position can also be based in Sydney, Australia.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Security Engineer to join the Security team in Australia. You will be on a team responsible for conducting both pre and post launch testing, offensive campaigns, emergent threat testing, creating/maintaining automated threat emulation solutions, and helping security and service teams add offensive insight to their development, deployment, monitoring, and response processes. This team partners with the larger Security organization and Service teams to continuously validate security throughout the service/system lifecycle.
You will be an expert across multiple domains such as cyber security; threat, vulnerability and risk assessments (TVRA), security tools (e.g. Splunk, Crowstrike, etc.), application of security frameworks (e.g. ISM, NIST, etc.) and/or implementation and monitoring of cyber security controls (i.e. detection, protection, alerting, etc.) and will be sought out for advice on a range of technical and business related issues. Your role will help ensure that our systems and processes are secured against the latest threats and you will lead security testing of large Amazon projects while setting standards and defining best practices for the Security team. AWS Security is looking for a highly talented and motivated Physical Security Analyst to work with our team, designing the secure facilities to maximize the effectiveness of the physical security program. The duties include extra-low voltage system design and engineering, working with the architectural and engineering teams to assure security best practices are observed, drafting new systems into the design teams build plans, and coordinating with physical security leaders to understand the new build and security system designs, adhering to an approved products list. A successful candidate will be responsible for interpretation of Risk Assessments and Threat Analysis and Physical Security Standards to assure the proper security technologies are selected to meet the unique challenges to be found in a sensitive security program.
Key job responsibilities
This role will be expected to provide in-depth security advice on the physical security architecture for the organisation. You will draw upon your strong knowledge as well as invent and innovate in the course of your duties. Key responsibilities may include:
* Lead the physical security architecture elements on a sensitive program.
* Create and communicate detailed physical security system designs and guidance to ensure compliance with government policies and frameworks.
* Subject matter expertise to support the AWS Security leadership and other security teams, with a focus on physical security.
* Physical / Protective Security Risk, Threat, and Vulnerability Management.
* Management and implement Physical security risk, threat, and vulnerability deliverables - e.g. internal and external audit items, security deliverables annual PSPF Self-assessment and ASD Cyber Survey.

AWS Infrastructure Operations - Physical Security are looking for exceptional Project Security Officer's to assist with the management and delivery of project security requirements on an upcoming large-scale project.
These are site-based roles, responsible for assisting our project team to manage physical security, in line with client security requirements and the project security plan.
You must obsess over internal and external customers and successfully deliver support and services in an environment where priorities shift extremely fast.
