# Project Overview:
Bechtel is providing project and contract management services to Western Power on the Clean Energy Link Project North Project. The project will strengthen the existing power network north of Perth to ensure it can connect and transport a greater supply of renewable energy to meet decarbonisation objectives. This involves upgrading the current mix of 132 kV and 330 kV lines in parts of the northern network. We are looking for people to join us on this exciting capital works program within an integrated team with our customer.
# Job Summary:
In this role, reporting to a Package Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring external contractors undertaking complex construction activities on behalf of Western Power comply fully with the Contract Lifecycle Management Framework and all contractual compliance obligations and requirements including but not limited to: Safety, Environmental, Quality Management and the verification of contractor activities. You will manage and develop relationships with external contractors and stakeholders to deliver Western Power's contractual works effectively and efficiently and to the required standards.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Responsible for ensuring external contractors undertaking complex construction activities on behalf of Western Power comply fully with the Contract Lifecycle Management Framework and all contractual compliance obligations and requirements.
+ Responsible for ensuring a high level of compliance to, and consistent application of, the Contract Lifecycle Management Framework and the reporting of any contractor breach of this framework.
+ Post contact award, supports reviews of contractor methodology, schedule, resource plan and construction risk assessment workshop (CRAW).
+ Monitor delivery of the works by the external contractor to ensure full contractual compliance is met with a focus on:
+ site specific safety management
+ site specific environmental management
+ quality assurance
+ Monitor schedule progress focusing on critical path activities and associated contractor deliverables
+ Influence the outcomes and quality of the contractor's performance by drawing on specialised experience to make recommendations.
+ Comply with requirements of the project's Management System including the requirement to complete the safety and quality KPI's.
+ Inspect construction work for compliance with drawings, specifications and codes.
+ Prepare daily progress reports, periodic photographic progress reports and keep the Package Manager informed on progress of assigned tasks.
+ Review of contractor's technical submittals including method statements, safe systems of work, permit applications and change proposals
+ Inspect work and elevate inspection requirements to the Package Manager where cross discipline input is required
+ Oversee site product quality, support inspections and provide oversight as required.
+ Witness inspections and tests of installed facilities and equipment as required by specification and supports the Package Manager in the release of hold points in installation, inspection and testing.
# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
+ Demonstrated supervision, leading hand or field engineering experience
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Good understanding of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental issues associated with the Construction industry.
+ Demonstrated experience in the Construction of infrastructure projects. Electrical HV experience preferred.
+ Customer side experience in the monitoring of construction preferred.
+ Experience with overhead transmission line installation, upgrades and operations preferred
+ Experience with switchgear and switchgear upgrades
+ Good understanding of construction techniques and constructability issues.
+ Good working knowledge of basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
+ Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of variable factors.
+ Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
+ Works without supervision with wide latitude for judgment.

As Drafting Supervisor and member of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for supervising and planning the activities of a group of drafting personnel and design specialists. You will serve as the liaison between the engineering disciplines, space planners, and the drafting department to allow seamless integration of the OASIS Engineering department scope.
As the Lead, your drafting team will be responsible for producing, updating, and maintaining site facility and infrastructure baseline drawings. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing small designs in concert with the engineering disciplines in accordance with site policies, procedures, and standards and ensure that quality site and project deliverables are produced to support our customer's critical mission set.
**Responsibilities/Duties**
+ Complete 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other software in conformance with requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria
+ Review completed work to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes, design data and site standards
+ Coordinate the efforts of the group with other site functional areas as well as outside contractors and where necessary, establish a control program for all outgoing drawings
+ Receive, review, format and electronically file drawings supplied by outside engineers, vendors, clients, and other groups
+ Convert existing 2D drawings to current site CAD and drafting standards
+ Create 2D/3D/BIM drawings using external references and survey data while coordinating various disciplines
