**THE ROLE**
The Maintenance Electrician functions as key member of a multi-skilled team to safely and effectively maintain facility infrastructure and critical systems at OASIS. The Maintenance Electrician provides a professional service in the execution of technical repair & maintenance of all assigned facility infrastructure equipment. This includes elements of planning, organization, coordination, scheduling, training, mentoring, and resource management associated with the day-to-day maintenance of the facility.
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the efficient and timely identification and completion of maintenance work tasks and ensuring high levels of service are maintained. This role also ensures that the Maintenance Electrician completes repairs and maintenance of all equipment in a manner that maximizes productivity and equipment reliability.
The Maintenance Electrician is a member of a small team of experienced tradespeople responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of multiple system components and equipment that supports both mission and routine business operations, as well as responding to unscheduled repairs. Within this team, the Maintenance Electrician must contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the implementation of improvement initiatives and technical advance as well as having the ability to think on their feet and complete assigned tasks to a high standard.
This position works closely with the Facilities Operations Team, other Facilities Maintainers and OASIS departments to foster, promote and maintain best-practice standards and enable reliable, consistent and effective maintenance and operation of facility systems. This role is key to the success of the broader O&M team and thus also works closely with all Facilities O&M personnel in the delivery of high-quality facility O&M services.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Operate and maintain facility infrastructure, systems and equipment.
+ Effect the day-to-day operation and maintenance of allocated facility infrastructure, equipment and systems.
+ Execute rapid and reliable response to abnormal facility operational situations and emergencies, including equipment repair when necessary.
+ Effectively liaise and communicate with peers to ensure best-practice standardization, coverage and continuous individual and team improvement.
+ Monitor and facilitate the update of technical drawings, panel schedules and equipment operating procedures.
+ Maintain a complete and current working understanding of all relevant facilities infrastructure, equipment and systems.
+ Install new electrical equipment and infrastructure as requested.
+ Any other reasonable duties as requested.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Essential**
+ Australian candidates must hold and be able to maintain an Australian "A" Grade Electrical License,
+ US candidates must hold and maintain a minimum of a US State Journeyman's License

+ Strong understanding of Work Health Safety (WHS) Act, and EHS policies & procedures

**EXPERIENCE**
+ 4 years post trade experience.
+ Experience with diverse range of power distribution equipment highly regarded.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Personnel are required to be medically fit to work and safely complete all physical tasks associated with the role in which they are employed. This includes but is not limited to being able to carry and control moderate to heavy loads and being able to safely traverse and access maintenance environments which may be uneven or cramped.
**SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT**
It is a condition of employment at JDFPG that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. Australian employees will require a Department of Defence Negative Vetting (NV1) security clearance and may require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance. US employees will require a TS/SCI clearance with poly.
**STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS**
All personnel assigned to work at JDFPG shall be:
+ At least 18 years of age.
+ Able to fluently read, write and speak English
+ Australian or US Citizen
**EHS REQUIREMENT**
All OASIS personnel are responsible for understanding and complying with all site environmental, health and safety requirements. While OASIS is responsible for providing a safe workplace and is responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements of the JDFPG Handbook, each person is responsible for:
+ Completing work task in a safe manner
+ Reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to their supervisor and/or OASIS PMO/EHS Manager
+ Continuous adherence to the environmental, health and safety procedures outlined in the JDFPG Handbook during the performance of their work
+ Red-Carding a Job - Employee right and responsibility to "STOP WORK" if a job is unsafe or possess a danger to the environment.

What You'll DoIn the role of Electrician, Journeyman, your duties will include:
+ Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems.
+ Reads technical diagrams and blueprints.
+ Performs general electrical maintenance. and inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
+ Implements and maintains quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
+ Ensures clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
+ Other duties as required.
Requirements:
+ Must be a US or Australian citizen
+ Must have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearance
+ Must have a Journeyman Electrical License (or AUS Equivalent)
+ Must have a minimum of five years of electrical engineering experience
Qualifications:
+ 5 Years of Experience as an Electrician, Journeyman
+ Journeyman License
+ Thermographer
This role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

**About you**
You will be the face of the OTIS brand and responsible for installing lifts, escalators, and travelators in compliance with the relevant codes and OTIS specifications and procedures.
This permanent role reports to the Branch Manager of Tasmania and works closely with other Installers, Electricians, Adjusters, and Field engineers, as well as Construction Coordinators.

+ Inspect and supervise critical environment-related facility equipment (e.g., controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical systems), building, and grounds regularly for unsafe or abnormal conditions and escalate per applicable policies and standards.
+ Utilize internal computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track all equipment assets and to complete work order requests for maintenance work.
+ Safely and quickly respond to and lead onsite incident response teams for all abnormal conditions that impact operations, and coordinates with other critical facilities professionals to perform corrective repairs, without supervision.
+ Enhance, develop new or follow preexisting emergency operating procedures (EOPs), methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in relation to CE operations and incidents.
+ Under minimal oversight, perform various types of maintenance (e.g., planned, predictive, corrective) and repairs following methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for one or more types of equipment (e.g., electrical, mechanical, cooling systems), correct procedures.
+ Have a hands-on understanding of how equipment works and how to troubleshoot equipment, systems, subsystems, and components independently within their trained discipline.
+ Provides consultation to lower-level colleagues in troubleshooting systems and problems.
+ Understands, follows, and ensures safety and security requirements (e.g., job hazard assessments (JHAs), environmental health and safety (EH&S), toolbox talks), and business processes and procedures to properly perform work in a safe, quality, and reliable within Microsoft requirements.
